| Obviously Smith isnt looking to break up the Monaghan/Higham combination in the next month. In which we will play Wakefield, Keighley, Bradford, Huddersfield.
If he features a couple of time for Hudds, then its valuable SL experience that he obviously wasn't penciled in to get at warrington.

I would agree with that. But with two ageing hookers, both of whom have contracts ending this year, you would have thought there is some urgency in playing Dwyer (in less demanding matches) to bring him on as a possible replacement. Perhaps there is truth in the rumour that we are buying Clarke.

There has to be another hooker coming in if Higham leaves.. If Smith was planning to have Dwyer as a regular in the 17 next season, he would be getting game time this season against teams like Wakefield and Keighley... Not going out on loan.

| According to the video interview with TS on Warrington Worldwide Brad had a slow start to the season, and the current Higham/Monaghan set up is working well meaning he can't get into the squad as it stands. Make of that what you will!

Yes. Perhaps TS is loathe to bring in a 'new' player because he want's to get consistency from the current team first. ?

Has he really been given enough chances to show it though? Or are we giving up on another young player in what is a key position?

After recent form I wouldn't object to us buying JON Clarke.
Okay I say that with tongue in cheek, but from what I've seen he's been in great form at Widnes.

| Has Dwyer's form at Swinton been good enough to warrant replacing either Higham or Monaghan in the team? When I've seen Swinton play it hasn't been.
What have others made of his performances, perhaps I missed something.
I'd hardly call sending a 19 year old out on loan to a Super League club for a month "giving up" on a player.

Exactly Paul, well said mate. People seem to be reading a lot more into things that are happening than they need to. A couple of recent setbacks has sent some into panic mode!!!
Getting a month at Huddersfield will do Brad the world of good and we will benefit from that in the long run

I was referring to this when commenting. Hardly sounds like a vote of supreme confidence and neither does loaning out a player when we have games coming up he could play in.

| What I'm struggling with is why have Huddersfield taken him? They have Shaun Lunt and if he got injured I'd have thought Robinson would revert to hooker. So Dwyer is unlikely to get first team action, in fact at the moment he's more likely to get it at Wires.
The obvious conclusion is Huddersfield want to have a look at him with a view to a permanent move, and Wires are happy for them to do so which I think is a great shame ................. can't see any purely footballing reasons for the move, personally.

| This is what I am struggling with;
Huddersfield are a top side this year, and as pointed out, they are not desperate for a hooker. So if they are happy to accept Dwyer, then they must be more than comfortable that he can perform at a high level in SL. Presumably they must have looked at him, at least on video. They are not going to accept someone blind. So why haven't we played him ? Both Monas and Higham played a full game each to see them through the extra game over Easter. Dwyer could have played against London to provide this cover. Then we have Keighley coming up - another good opportunity.
So what is the logic ?
