Anyone who doesn't think Ellis is top quality needs their head testing. If we only signed Trent on a 1 year deal, I'd say yes but as that's not the case, I think his availability has come 1 year too late for us. Has to be favourite to go back to Leeds to pick up his pension.

I think we will be lsoing Brett and Solo at the end of the year. Maybe Lee but defo not Moz. He doesn't want to retire and is still one of the best (if not the best) forwards in the league. Short of a massive injury ~(worse than when he went blind last season) would he not get at least another year.

On the Ellis question, it is a no from me. I like Waterhosue and the rest of his colleagues. More should be spent on replacing Lee and maybe some young backs.

After thinking about it I remembered GH refuses to deal with his agent. On review i can't see him at Leeds.

There has been a few remarks on here regarding Briers leaving at the end of the season. If he continues in the same form, I can see him getting another year at Warrington.

Having a back line selection of Ellis, Westwood, TBSH, Grix, Cooper, Harrison etc and not to mention the lads coming through, 'kin hell, we'd be scary.

In fairness to those with a balanced viewpoint, Ellis is a high quality backrower. We are fortunate to have two excellent players there, so going for Ellis wouldn't really give the right balance to the squad. Anther time, he would be ideal, just not now.

I reckon Ellis could play alongside Westwood and Waterhouse could move up to prop especially if Moz calls it a day !
