Ignore him Gary. Anyone with any intelligence could see what you were trying to achieve on behalf of Paul.
Fair play to Johnson for being honest though, makes a change from players declaring their undying love for a club they couldn't care less about.

I agree you didn't bring up Wigan and you did give chance to clarify by reminding him about us playing Wigan and him expressing his heart was with Warrington.
Then when you probed a third time Johnno clambed up, he realised that what he'ed said had been misunderstood. He obviously faced un-scripted questions.
You finished off the interview again about questioning his heart being with Warrington and then again about Wigan having him back.

As Knighty said, not 100% committed. To say that he wants to play with a different club whilst apparently playing for a new contract here is, well stupid really. Be careful what you wish for.

I'm with Gary on this one....
Gary says "how are the contract negotiations going" and Johnsons answer to that question is "not bad, I've sort of made it known that I was at Wigan for eight years and I wouldn't mind going back to Wigan at the end of my career"
Johnson can't complain about his words being twisted, his answer to a direct question is there to be seen.
However even if he does fancy going back to Wigan I wouldn't have any worries over Johnsons commitment, he's always been an unselfish and dedicated pro.

I agree. Gary is not great at taking feedback (even though he asks for it ad infinitum) but in this case he is bob on. |

| Whats your honest opinion on him then? What could he offer us? I know he's injury prone but that's it  .
It certainly looks like we have offered him a deal of some sort for him to say that, it was in the Wigan Observer about a month ago we were looking at him. |
