He had his soulder operated on before the end of last season. At the last game of the season he was on the pitch after the match with his arm in a sling so it's no great mystery or secret.

He will deserve it if he contributes to a winning performance.
Clearly he has never done this in the past and thus has never deserved to be in a final, i suspect that the same scenario will occur tomorrow.:30555.jpg |

| Perfectly reasonable question. We all accepted the situation last year but the club have said nothing on him this year (that I've seen). Get down off that horse.

I never claimed it was a great mystery or secret, I just asked the question. "When/how did Crosby get injured?".
You have told me when his corrective surgery was but not answered the question.

General rugby league player "maintenance" I'd imagine. Surgery done before end of last season once status safe to give as long recovery time as possible for this season.
Price mentioned it the other week in the Guardian before the Rochdale friendly.

| To be fair, probably doesn’t know the tragic circumstances. Think it was just meant to be light enjoyable humour otherwise.
You could use that buttocks joke about Roy Asotasi even when he was playing

| I hope Dom Crosby can have a big season for us after the terrible personal tragedy he went through in 2017. However, if he remains not ready to play for personal reasons, I believe we should pay the balance of his contract and look to sign an alternative.

Don't think that is the issue. He's had a shoulder fix.

| We're going into this season just like the last. Starting off breaking players in pre-season just like Ratchford & Patton last year, and playing patched up first few games. By then the loosing habit set in.
this is frighteningly familiar. Toby King admittedly got an injury v Salford but he's continually hurt. No proper cover for injuries
I've every sympathy for Crosby's situation but if the club would have handled him right the only injury concern he should have is a cauliflower .
It just takes Myler and Dwyer to be on a mission to prove a point and Thursday could be a nightmare.

| All good points S51 but I think our problems were much deeper rooted last year. Our coach seemingly having set his main goal as winning the WCC match being one of them (this is admittedly hindsight on my part and likely to be the biggest load of horse manure this side of Aintree).

3 players out of around 30 isn't to bad, and they are all not far away form a return, why is this frighteningly familiar? Last season we hadn't recruited a kiwi international centre, a top draw scrum half, one of the worlds best 2nd row forwards and a few other good seasoned players with NRL experience. It looks nothing like last season to me, Oh and a new coaching set up that looks like it cares.
