| My only concern if for my team, personally I have never met or spoken to either Raychford, Bridge or, MD for that matter, their mothers.
My concern this year as it was last season to get the best possible result from a complete coaching and player selection shambles.
Come 2016 when we have new stock or old stock, I will continually look for the best rolls to make our team successful.
Under this current stock of players, our best is Ratchford and Bridge....when they want to be.
Just get them together where they can get their hands on the ball.

Bridge doesn't really have a good kicking game, he relies on his own strengthand support, he had no support and as such was as useless as the rest bar Hill and Sims.
Patton was well out of depth. His kicking options was unbelievably poor. He kicked deep into the FB/wingers hands over and over, whereas Kelly chose to kick very high lingering bombs.'"
Quote: rubber duckie "
Patton kicking was poor as was his defence, he was anonymous.
Bridge worked well in defence but lacked support and ideas.'" .
Quote: rubber duckie "
Bridge struggled with no support play or creativity from Patton, who was completely out of his depth.
Bridge only had his defensive play of some credit but I never buy into this common rule of "defence win games" well it doesn't..,attack wins games!!!
.'"
So to summarise, Patton was out of his depth, and you're giving bridge a pass because of that. But he had a good defensive game even though he left a gap Dixon could have driven a bus through when he scored.
There was a debate pre match about whether bridge should play at 6 and what he should do to taken charge and boss the game , he did NOTHING.

| Bridge was lacking ideas. That is a fact.
He was lacking support from Ratchford. That is a fact.
Patton was out of his depth, and offered no meaningful combination with Bridge. That is a fact.
I don't understand your point FMC.
Love me or loath me, I care only about this team, and getting our next win. Bridge other than his defence was a useless as every other player bar Hill and Sims.
So learn and move on, recent history tells us that following a disastrous early part of the season in 2014, we found a winning combination R&B.
For feck sake, put them back together, and we'll either see a upturn in form or FMC can have a day he'll never get back, trailing through all my posts to ram them down my sweet throat.

| We'll all be happy when we win the middle 8's I think the team is done this season, 90% of the players are massively under performing so moving ratchford and bridge together finally will do very little I feel. I agree with putting penny at fullback and still don't understand why he was dropped? For me this season is a write off and is a learning year to bounce back from. I'll still go watch them and support them every week but I can't see us hitting any kind of form this year, fingers crossed a challenge cup would be nice. Love the wire but nobody's gelling and Christ knows why

Say what you like about penny but he would've brought enthusiasm, pace and have cleaned out sio rather than ambling across like an idiotic Mr cool. Still no idea why penny doesn't figure given his early season form.'"
Have to agree, if Smith and it's a big if intends to play Ratchford at half at any point then last night was the perfect opportunity, the Bridge selection was a big mistake he's not creative enough he should be left at centre.

| Does Ratchford have a future at the HJ if Smith has no intention of playing him at half, we have signed Gidley and at the time we put in a big offer to sign Tomkins both fullbacks, what were Smith's plans for him? perhaps a move to centre.

| I'm no fan of Ratchford as a FB.
He is currently an ideal HB and when he reaches 29/30 and looses a yard of pace, he ought to bang on a stone of muscle and become a loose forward.

| Quote: rubber duckie "I say it once again for the umpteenth time...
Unite Ratchford and Bridge at halfbacks.
I'm fully aware of how poorly both of them played this weekend.
Bridge struggled with no support play or creativity from Patton, who was completely out of his depth.
Bridge only had his defensive play of some credit but I never buy into this common rule of "defence win games" well it doesn't..,attack wins games!!!
Ratchford carried the ball too loosely when at FB which I don't like. He isn't in the game enough. He doesn't have a controlling role. He has the no6 on his back because he is quite simply the best hb we have on our books. '"
Support play is a job more expected of the fullback than halfback. Halfback has to be constantly organising while a fullback has more free reign, so can support more. So if you think the support play, A RESPONSIBILITY OF RATCHFORD AS A FULLBACK, was poor, how would that be improved by moving him to halfback, where you want him to support on top of steering the entire team around?
Bridge was caught out for two tries from what I remember, the Dixon try he made the wrong decision and I think he was responsible for the Welham one too.
How is Ratchford carrying the ball loosely an issue only at fullback? Will this not happen at halfback?
He doesn't have a controlling role because he is not a halfback and thus is incapable of controlling. He's a good, elusive runner with decent hands, who cannot organise and has a poor kicking game.

| You are now Cunningham....Would you play Walsh at FB and Charnock at SH?
That is essentially what TS is doing, because he is more senior and could play FB better than the junior but sacrificing the craft in the most important position to do so!

| HBs do not carry the ball loosely. The play is tight and collision is high. You just don't because you can't.
Ratchford used two hands when at HB.
Ratchford has craft, few of our players are so gifted. You play the best players in a position where they can get their hands on the ball.
If Ratchford would push up into the halves in attack at every opportunity, I wouldn't care what team sheet official position he was given. The problem is he isn't pushing up.

I would play my best organiser and kicker, with an ability to steer a team around the pitch, at scrum half - Walsh.
I would play an elusive runner with a decent passing game but little capacity to organise or control at fullback - Lomax.
That is what Cunningham would be doing for not for injury.
That is also what Tony Smith is doing - playing your best organiser (whoever that may be, G'OB or Patton, it's certainly not Ratchford or Bridge) at scrum half, and his elusive runner with decent passing at fullback, Ratchford.

You answered the question about Sts perfectly then contradicted it when it comes to Warrington.
You have just said in effect Walsh is not an organiser and Charnock is!

| I am just dumbfounded when we are crying out for leadership, quality and strength at half back and we continually play our best half back at full back.
We could play Penny at FB just like Keiron Dixon played FB to great effect against us.
