| I appreciate this is a 'rumours' thread, and we're always going to have the 'I've heard' & 'apparantly' comments.
But for the avoidance of doubt, and i mention it earlier in a reply to someone, Kasiano has a bad wrist injury. He would have been out for months, potentially for the season. So a decision was made about paying off his contract like the club did with Brown to free up space in the cap and a quota spot should the club choose to sign another overseas player.
There was no silly demands or refusal to leave. His contract was just paid.
And 'No'..... I don't know if there are any overseas players being approached yet. But no doubt i'll find out.

I would have stuck around for the full salary.

I think this way he gets paid up front and can go home immediately, rather than being paid monthly and waiting until the end of the season.

Could be true. If he is financially sound then I don’t blame him.

| If, as rumoured, Kasiano has a serious wrist injury, how come both Salford and Wakefield are interested in signing him for this season?

They may be happy to have him on the side lines until he recovers?
Kasiano may be happy to get cash from Warrington and a new contract with another side?
Reading between the lines I don't think SB wants him so it's maybe a win-win for both parties?

| I see Jordan Abdull has gone to Catalans on loan from 1 season. Seems he's out of favour at KR.
Perhaps we should have done a swap deal with Drinkwater. I know Abdull has had lots of injury issues but i think he's a good player on his day. He could certainly get us around the park better than Drinkwater.

| I believe Kasiano is going for a 2nd opinion on his injury. The initial results have showed he needs nerve re-alignment in his wrist, which is a career ending injury. To go against that would be very risky, although I think the Examiner/Yorkshire Post looking at Salford & Wakefield's free overseas quota spaces and deciding they're interested in signing him is just there normal level of an attempt at journalism.
For any of you that don't follow my X/Twitter account I posted yesterday about Gil Dudson very much impressing SB in pre -season. So his planned dual-reg move to Widnes has been temporarily paused. As has Hayes who's seen as Drinkwater's cover who's picked up an injury. So has Fitzgibbon, although I'm not sure how serious they both are. Not sure if either are public knowledge yet ?

Dudson on form is a decent hard grafting prop, so last year was very disappointing and his head clearly wasn't on straight.
People were saying last year he punched Johnstone because he slept with his wife. So he's moved to a new Club, more than likely split up with his wife, and had bans and was more than likely in a very bad head space.
I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for this year. The end of season break, last year of his contract and new coach he's likely looking to impress could have put him on the right path.
He's not a world beater but at his best he's a good solid club prop, if we get him on form this year i'll be happy with that for our prop rotation.
Same with Bullock, get him on form he's a very handy prop, with Vaughan, Musgrove and Philbin in that rotation we're looking good. Harrison is decent cover at prop but i don't think he's suited to prop, and think he's a bit overhyped to be honest in the prop role.
I would have liked a fit Kasiano in the squad also but can't have everything i suppose.
