Did Cooper approach St George Dragons or did St George Dragons approach Cooper?

| Signing older players hasn't really done you any harm the past few years has it (I'm not taking the mick). If it brings you regular success then why change it?

Honestly don't know. I would guess Coops would have talked to the club and asked if he could look for an Oz contract ?

Whereas it's done you a fair bit of harm in the fairly recent past.

Exactly, when it's done right and the right 30+ year old players are signed it can bring success. However when done wrong, like by ourselves and other lower SL clubs it can do harm. The only recent exception I can think of in our case when and old Aussie has turned out well is Luke Patten.

I can't help thinking that the presence of Steve Simms had a lot to do with things in that respect. How he managed to keep his head for so long whilst everyone around him was losing theirs is beyond me.

Could I just say that Matt Bowen is a very good player, who I believe advised Mike cooper about playing in the NRL, and contrary to what Stanley may say, is not 'nailed on' for a move to Salford next year.

Wonder how Ratchford feels about signing for Salford now. He's going to have a lot of pressure and work on his shoulders to get them to a level where they are competing with us. Still, you make your bed and all that...

Serves him right for not making his mind up. First he want's to be a full back, then a half, next minute he has changed his mind and he want's to go back to FB. How can TS manage the team if Ratchford is going to mess him about like that every week ?
