Takes the shine off going to Hull if we win. However no one can take the monent of being there and finishing top away.
I also agree that it will take the edge off receiving the trophy especially if we lost to Huddersfield in the Playoff Game.
However i can understand the reasoning behind it, if Wigan win and we lose, they get the Shield at home. By the same token we will be presented with it at Home also.

Saw my first game at Wilderspool in 1967 - against Whitehaven, I seem to recall. We were rubbish back then, I can tell you! Even so, a long time to wait ( since 1973) for a chance at league leaders and even the championship. |

We finished top in 73 but Dewsbury won the play-offs that year. 54-55 was the last time we won the championship outright and you're correct - it is one hell of a wait! |
