| Lets hope Lee will take up the post of assistant in 2012, permitting he does retire from his playing career.

| Always loved the fact he seemed to have Trent Barrett in his back pocket whenever he played against him.
Briers has certainly got more consistent the older he has got. Probably a mixture of his youth and coaches who either messed him around or over relied on him.
With the exception of Alan Langer he's never really played with a consistent and recognised half back partner who can boss the team around with him.

| lee is a wire legend in my book, all of those you have previously mentioned make me smile, and that is a sign of the things he has done for this club. another great moment is when he gave his champers away at widnes (semi v wigan) and the whole aura around that game, ie, loss of his brother!
the moment that i will always remember lee by though is this,
the moment when the lance todd winner was announced and he clenched his fist, as if to say, ive done it, ive got it!
I LOVE LEE BRIERS!

| What Sally said on page one I mostly agree with but cannot help wishing that someone like Tony Smith came along a long time ago as far as he is concerned. BUT, I guess that applies to every player and every fan of Warrington though.

| Running off the field to sit in the stand after scoring against Bradford (I think). Summed him up nicely..genuine talent, great entertainer, major pain in the opposition's butt.

| Let's not retire him off just yet. He's just announced he is going to have a crack at the Four Nations next season with Wales and hasn't even ruled out playing in the 2013 World Cup. As long as we keep a quality squad around him that can keep us in the right half of the field most of the time and hence reduce his physical workload, I think he can carry on for a bit yet. He's just such an intelligent player, he reads the game like no-one else. On several occasions I've got him to explain things that have happened on the field and it's amazing to get his view of what happened and why.
It was a pleasure to assist him in his Testimonial season as a member of his committee and great to get to know better off the field. Lots of negative things have been said about him but having spent quite a bit of time with him over an almost 18 month period, I found him to be a decent bloke and proud family man. And very committed to his rugby and particularly Warrington which as a St Helens lad you've got to admire!
I'm so chuffed he hasn't ended his career without success and seeing him and Adrian Morley lifting the cup in 2009 was an amazing experience. I know he didn't perhaps make the most of his talent when he was younger but has matured in recent years really deserves the success of the last two years - it would be great if he can add a SL winners ring!
One thing is for sure - we are going to miss him when he does finally hang up the boots, he is a fine player who provides loads of magic moments and I'm not ready to give up enjoying them just yet. He has certainly been one of Wire's all time legends.

| Pretty much what SEB and Sally said. Legend status can already be afforded to him. One of the best half-backs this country has produced in recent times, and for whatever reason never got a proper GB shot. We'd have turned the Aussies over with him directing a team round the park, of that i have no doubt

| Not just his rugby, but also the way he responds to his young fans. Seen him give his boots away a couple of times and at Wembley went to the disabled lad in the wheelchair. A genuine good guy.

| Up until last year he would have been remembered as a nearly man. Nearly got to the Challenge Cup final with Saints, only to be dropped for a better player. Nearly made it at Saints heading into their most successful period, only to be sold in favour of better players. Nearly made Warrington a trophy winning side only for successive coaches to fail to capitalise on the potential.
It had a movie worthy beaten man story attached to it until Huddersfield went and ruined it by knocking Saints out in the semi the other year.
Now he'll probably retire a Wire legend with potentially three or four major trophies under his belt. I always thought he'd end his career in controversial style such was his wildness as a youth and his Gazza-esque ticking time bomb nature. But to his credit he seems to have sorted that side out as well.
