So we're likely to get him back sometime after the Wigan home game. Probably back for Wakefield (A) or Cas (H). We should have Dwyer back for Cas (H) too.

So in the meantime we have at least the following fixtures without him:
St Helens (H)
Huddersfield (A)
Widnes (A)
Wigan (H)
Challenge Cup 6th Round

Be very interesting to see how we cope.

It can be anything from 4 to 10 weeks, these injuries are problematic in rehab. I suppose we should be thankful it wasn't a grade three full tear.

Get that Cryo Chamber and Oxygen Therapy into action!

Good news on Rhys Evans, he could play this week according to Smith. Not so good news on Sandow but he will see a specialist tonight to determine his options: www.sportinglife.com/rugby-leagu ... hy-lay-off

Sandow's tweet about it said "a few weeks". Take from that what you will.

As stated all on hold until Sandow sees the consultant this evening as pointed out elsewhere the tear could have been worse but still tricky for rehab.

It's anyones guess at the moment but for a grade 2 for non professional people without access to top medical care it can be many many weeks.
With top class support and rehab it'll be less, but still weeks.
The issue with hamstrings is not just the repair of the tear but the time needed to build the muscle back up again. If you overdo it - too much too soon - it messes things up and you can end up back at square one.
I've known too many people - including professional sportspeople - try to get back too soon and they've been out again for weeks.

Now we'll see what Gidley and Ratch can do I guess (or possibly Gidley and Declan)

True Fez1 a great chance for both Ratchford and Patton it's good to see that with the injuries we still have options.

I think with the start we have already made, and assuming that we don't lose Gidley too for any length of time, then we don't necessarily need Sandow back as soon as possible. We should be able to 'cruise' into a top four place before the middle eights start. I would prefer it if we let Sandow and the medical team take all the time they need to get him back as close to 100% as it's realistically possible to be.

Going into the Super Eights with a fully fit Sandow will give us every chance of doing something special, rushing him back and having him break down again with a long term injury, and it could just be another season of might have beens.

Just read in league weekly Sandow player of the month. (March) Didn't see this any where did anyone else?. I did vote for him but didn't see results. He is the only player to win it twice let alone consecutive months that's how good he is!

It is true the injury to Chrissie Sandow will be a massive blow to the team over the next few weeks. We will need to explore other avenues to get the ball over the whitewash. That is all we will have to do tho', as Chris's defensive abilities are not his best attribute. I am quite confident that our defensive line will not be affected by his absence, it could even be improved.

Keep Kurt (MOS) Gidley on the park to guide the team around and let Dec Patton ( My preferred choice) or Steff Ratchford play as the additional pivot. They bring their own personalities and problems for other teams to deal with. The next 4-8 weeks will not be a write off, and when Chris comes back into the team in May, the team will still be at the top or near to the summit.

It is just me that keeps checking Sandow's twitter feed for the update?

At of 24 minutes ago he said he was still waiting with a very fetching picture of his Trainers in what I assume is the waiting room. As of 27 minutes ago he offered £1,000 to Jack Hughes for the car he is selling on Gumtree.
