I thought we had a large, quality, squad. Clearly not enough to beat Salford at home. Interesting times at Warrington.

Give over.
He's e. You know it. I know it.
Fortunately for him, others stink the house out, so he's not on his own.
A bang average SL side would have beaten Salford, tonight. No more than 6 sets of 6 in our danger zone, all night, yet they scored from 4 of them.
We dominated the ball from minute one, yet only mustered 2 tries. Austin ran across the line umpteen times, yet King, Goodwin, Currie and Hughes were stood around, having a proverbial fag.
Yes, Patton was diabolical (no change there). The fault with Patton now lies with Price. It's time for Price to get tough, and drop him. Parry Gordon in his current state, offers more of a threat, than "Dec"

Individual regular round games really mean little.
Rugby league, more so than many football codes, is a sport where if a team is up for it just that bit more than the other team, they’ll win. There’s no fluking a last gasp deflected offside goal against 89 minutes of the run of play being the other way around like in football. In RL you earn your win and hardly ever does the team who aren’t the hungrier of the two, win.
But how many times over the years have we seen Leeds anywhere between average and dreadful in the regular season yet go on to win when it matters?
I’m not saying Wire will do this, this season, come the Play-offs. However I don’t take individual regular round defeats too seriously nor am I ever too downbeat about them.

| Watched Danny McGuire tonight almost single handedly win KR the match.A masterclass that Patton should watch how to dictate a game.

If I watch Elvis I'm not going to sell out Madison Square Gardens, am I? You've either got it or you haven't and coaching can only do so much.

| Indeed but Patton isn't the only problem when it comes to attack. Price is far too conservative for my tastes.

| I’ve very nearly had enough of watching Wire. I genuinely think I’m falling out of love with rugby league, for various reasons which I won’t list here. But tonight encapsulated some of them...
We will win naff all this season again. We looked like we’re still feeling sorry for ourselves post-saints and certainly still feeling the physical effects, too. Forty minutes’ effort against London and even less against Salford. We’re blowing out of our backsides. Lost count of the crabbing runs tonight and the headless chicken acts. Austin clueless as much as Patton yet gets half the amount of stick!
There was a point in the second half where I’d forgotten when we’d last challenged their line. Utterly dross. I’m surprised the boo boys weren’t out in more force because you can’t sit/stand there saying “individual rounds don’t matter” when 9,000 people PAID to watch that steaming pile of tripe.
Why, when we go behind, do our heads drop and we look beaten, sorry for ourselves, we are NOT a winning team. Most of the stalwarts have more experience of losing finals than winning them now. And it shows. We were found out by a bang average side tonight. I do NOT believe we are picking and choosing our games because that’s a ridiculous attitude in a sport that hangs so much emphasis upon momentum. We should’ve had enough to do Salford at home, especially after Good Fridays farce. You don’t just flick a mental switch and become world beaters one week and play like you’re battling relegation the next.

| Shocking, woeful, clueless, unstructured, spineless - and how anyone can point the finger at Patton when Austin is is an overpaid Kevin brown is beyond me.
Everyone had a go at Roberts last year but Austin seems to be heading down the same path to me - please tell me what he contributes on a week to week basis, because I can't see it.
The only players who came out with any real credit tonight we're Daryl Clark & Mamo
PS - at least we used to train well under Smith, we don't even seem to do that now
PPS - this is not a knee jerk reaction, I have felt like this for a while now
Also, we are lost without Hill & Cooper, completely and utterly lost. Our forwards couldn't punch a hole in a wet paper bag

| Im of the opinion that we started feeling sorry for ourselves with that dodgy forward pass decision and it went down hill from there. Plus other deficiencies

Mamo was garbage tonight, his kick judgement is poor, his running onto passes is poor(though austin and patton were throwing some shockers as well) and he's picking up a knock in every tackle.

Beat me to it.
You only need to look at Mamo, and he's clutching a part of his anatomy.

The stubborn refusal to bring Westwood into the 17 despite our forward woes
The frankly baffling treatment of Livett (who should be in the 17 at half back)
Conservative, dull rugby
Honeymoon period most definitely over'"
As usual, miaw, you speak my language.
No-one foresaw the Cooper absence, BUT, despite Westwood's obvious disciplinary issues, this game was crying out for him.
I actually thought Tasi and Akuoala opened up well. When they returned, Akuoala still offered something. Tasi was, well, just Tasi.
Price, for me, has used all his "good will". Formulaic NRL style doesn't wash with me. Our players aren't good enough to play that style. Take a few risks, for God's sake.
I'd have Livett over Currie in a heartbeat. Currie is merely [igoing through the motions[/i

How many times have we seen Leeds do that....plenty
How many times have we seen Wire do that....none
If we had previous at winning big games when it counted I would be more willing to take that approach of dismissing regular round defeats but we don't, therefore it just makes me more concerned.
Two questions for us to consider at this moment:
1) have we improved on the Wire of 2018?
2) would Tyrone Roberts get in the current side?
At the start of the season what would you have expected those answers to be?
