| I think the critcism of England is a bit unfiar, RD. I thought in the first 30 mins he was actually our busiest, most effective forward including Hill.
Yes, his fitness needs to improve but I can see why we've invested in him, the potential is there and he was still better than Asotasi, NZ caps and all.

| Wasn't England Injured when we got him? I get the impression he's been under cooked fitness wise from the start. England and Asotasi improving is a big boost to our season.

| Agree about England.... massive potential, especially running at the line.
Hill would be a great MOS - but do props ever get a look in?

| I previously had a pop at England, forgetting he'd been out injured for a while on top of coming from the Championship. Fitness was clearly an issue but with that improving everything else seems to be following, his ball retention has improved markedly and he's definitely starting to run his size....well done sir.

| ball retention/catching simple passes was my big problem with him at the start of the year.
And yes to the previous poster, i had a word with a couple near us yesterday who were saying he's not a patch on chris hill, i pointed out to them that hilly had a full half season of training nearly full time with us prior to his first pre season, England was rehabbing his shoulder reconstruction so is behind hill in his development if you want to draw parrallels between them.
That said, if we can get his fitness up, we've got a very handy player there, we seem to use him a lot for short balls and spinning to offload at the line, and it seems to work well. Hopefully he knuckles down and becomes a chris hill, and not a tony tonks/stuart dickens/dom maloney

| England was always going to start off slow for us, he is slowly starting to show what he can do and runs some good lines. He can learn off the best in SL in Hill and will improve as the year goes on.
I think next year he will be very good and providing no NRL clubs come in for Hill we will have two young powerful props for years to come.

I think you're right about England IW, plenty of effort and desire there to improve.
Any disappointment in him is a tad unfair, because I think it's all based on a comparison to Chris Hill who slotted seamlessly into the team, all be it into a more experienced pack and has been outstanding since Day 1.
FWIW Roy was ok for me yesterday and I hope that he continues to get better each week.

Yeah, it was also only Bradford that whooped us at the same ground a couple of weeks ago. It matters not whether the opposition is London, North Wales or Wigan, if he is underperforming, he is underperforming. If he has improved, he has improved.

| It's a little too early to go overboard about roy based on one decent performance but it's a good sign that the improvement is there ...
Now can somebody direct me to the Mylers Not good enough we should get rid of him thread ? It must be here somewhere surely

| I wouldn't swap Ratchford or Bridgey to accommodate Myler unless necessary Period.

He was, but people will refuse point blank to see it.
It seems to me that many supporters have to categorise players as good or crap with little in-between. The reality with Roy is that we are where we are with him: he's been rubbish so far, but he's shown modest signs of improvement and we need more from him if we are to compete for silverware with this injury run we're on. We can either stay patient with a player our very competent coach seems to rate, or boo him onto the field every week. I know which I'd prefer but people pay their money and pick their scapegoats. Same with Myler as he reaches fitness.

| Mylers main problem for most people seems to be that he isn't Lee Briers.

Im not saying he wasn't elusive and he broke the line. But his play kicking is really poor and some of his passing is wayward to say the least.
