Is it Ironic that she's Canadian and he questioned Americans' sense of irony based upon her lack thereof?

She is Canadian-American.
A Canadian-American is an American of Canadian descent

She was born & raised in Ottowa, Ontario. I know the Americans invaded Canada in 1812 but wasn't aware that they maintained an enclave there?

Morissette became a naturalized citizen of the United States while maintaining her Canadian citizenship.

| So she's a Canadian with American technicalities. Same as Clint Greenshields & Casey McGuire are Australians.

| Please not another thread about what does and does not constitute irony. I can't bear it. I'm still trying to work out whether Richard Dunne outjumping Gareth Barry to score for Villa against City the other day was ironic. Or not.

Canada is part of North America as are the United States.
Therefore she can be classed as Canadian or American.............in the same way as I could be classed as English, British or European.
Just off to double Geography....speak later!!

Great character is Ged. he did a good job with the Wigan academy a couple of years back, but left as he wanted to spend more time with his family.

| Ah Ged Byrne, the man who wouldn't join Wigan's full-time ethos as he refused to give up his job as a window cleaner.
My favourite Ged Byrne anecdote was the one when John Monie was going round the dressing room at half time reading out the tackle count of each player, he got to Ged and started giving him a rocket for having only made 2 tackles in the half. Ged's reply was "coach....would you run at me?"

Is that from The Iceman? If so, is it worth a read?
