This coming season will be difficult for Tony Smith and the fans to figure out what is what and who fits where. Our patience and resolve will be tested as we may not be in agreement with him but we have to trust him. Reputation alone will not get any player a place. The form book will dictate!

My Thoughts exactly, most on here seem to be going for an almost identical 17 just slightly different starters and bench players.... so when you look at the players outside that 17 we have ..... V anderson , Grix, Carney , Cooper Mitchel , Penny, Riley, Blythe, Mc carthy... all of these Players have got loads of super league experience, with maybe Tyke being the least experienced... but he 's got big game experience as we know lol ..... in fact five of these played at wembley so looking at that ,this must be the best strenth in depth we have had as far as i can remember .. Things are looking good

Monitoring outside for the people inside: |
|
| It's a real problem, leaving players out. There can only be 17, but it would be nice to have a top class replacement waiting in the wings, but it must be frustrating for them to know that no matter how well they play, as soon as the first choice is fit, they will be dropped.
The frustrated ones for next season will be Wood, Mitchell, Tyrone. Penny.
The likes of Vinnie and Riley will get their fair share of games.

Retired from playing - will now be part of the coaching set-up and a player mentor / media resource

Clearly he has never done this in the past and thus has never deserved to be in a final, i suspect that the same scenario will occur tomorrow.:30555.jpg |

| Quite firm on my choice of the 13.
Mathers
King
Atkins
Bridge
Hicks
Briers
Myler
Morley
Monaghan
Carvs
Landerson
Westwood
Harrison
Higham
Solomona
Cooper
Vinnie/Clarke.
Unsure what he could go with on the bench, suppose it will depend on the oppostion, although I think Cooper, Morley and Carvell plus Harrison filling in when needed will the do job upfront.

I know Harrison, Riley, VAnderson, Grix, etc are missing but I suspect that those missing out from the first 17 may only have to wait a week or two before places become available either due to injury or 'rotation'.

| Solomona will be rotation Prop Forward next year said that in his owen interview with the guardian and smith said in the press conference about him being able to play a different type of prop forwards role
After the form Matt King was in last year do you really think TONY SMITH is going to put him on the Wing , come on people lets get real , he put him on the wing when we had no-one else
but if you have riley , penny , Carney , hicks as wingers there is no way king will be on the wing
not my personal choice but what i think he will go with is
1. Mathers
2. Carney
3. Atkins
4 Kings
5. Hicks
6 Briers
7 Myler
8 Morley
9. Monaghan
10 Carvell
11 Westwood
12 L Anderson
13 Harrison
14 Solomona
15 Higham
16 Cooper
17 Bridge
Clarke - i think he will play when required to give Myler a rest at 7
Grix - Too injury prone will be a Bit Part this season
Wood - gives us options if there is a knock in the front row
McCarthy - will get his chance throughout the season
v Anderson - again had his injury trouble but will have his fair amount of games
Riley - unlucky not to get in the side but i just think if they give Carney a new deal then he will play

| For me it has to be:
1. Mathers
2. Hicks
3. Atkins
4. King
5. Penny
6. Briers
7. Myler
8. Morley
9. Monaghan
10. Carvell
11. Anderson
12. Anderson
13. Westwood
Let the rest scrap it out for bench position's.
I think we have to play atkins and King in the centre's, and I much prefer Vinnie Anderson running wider, where as Westwood could do the loose forward battering ram/ 40 tackles a match job.
Monaghan was te best hooker in the competition last year so he gets the nod from me

| I shudder at the thought of putting King back with Penny. They simply don't work well together at all.

| If Tony Smith thinks Chris Bridge is good enough to play in the centre for England then I reckon that he will start the 2010 season there for Warrington.
