| Jiffy was a magnificent player poetry in motion but also a bit of a turnstile defensively in his 2-3 seasons with us.
Now The Ox on the other hand was the real deal in his 13 seasons with us.

I never said anything being a success.
I said ‘signing’..’to play at centre’.
Probably more like Andrew Johns over term, but he didn’t play centre.

Paul Cullen referenced to him as the ‘best defence player he’d ever played with.’
Davis would tell Cullen where he wanted him to be, and he would do his tackling for him.
His mind was reading the opposing plays way ahead of anyone else. Hence Cullen’s reasoning.

Errrmm, hang on a minute you said
Quote: rubber duckie "A signing like that would have been up there with the like if (sic) Phil Blake and Jonathan Davis at centre.'"
The clear inference was a signing as impactful as that to Blake and Davies. I disagreed.
It would have made headlines as another gimmick I agree. As for ruffling feathers, I'd rather we leave our ruffling to the Grand Final.

I think he has a framed motto now that reads "STFU you narcissistic clown" to remind him daily to stop crowing.

No I didn’t. I wrote what I wrote.
I appreciate it could be perceived as leading to success, because the former 2 were successful in varying degrees.
But didn’t say that, I wrote a signing to play centre.
Nether Blake or Davis were centres, but their talent put them as 2 of the best centres at Wire I’ve ever seen.

So you are saying that Owen Farrell would have been "up there" with Blake and Davies as one of the best centres at Wire you've ever seen ?

No I didn’t. Once again you are misquoting.
I wrote “A signing like that would have been up there with the like if Phil Blake and Jonathan Davis at centre.”
The key words are ‘signing’ and ‘centre’, ‘up there’ regarding to the impact a signing like Owen Farrell would make to the press and sensationalism.
I’d have been better getting that point over using Andrew Johns, however I didn’t reflect that because he never played centre at Wire.
It really is that simple, and now I’m tired of your nit picking bollox.
Have your last day on it because I’m done.

| Whens Mikaele back Ducky, or is not happening? Kasiano and Dudson both in training making it look unlikely?

| Wigan look in a bit of bother Harry Smith offered a big contract in NRL. Wigan have offered him an extension but looking like it would take marquee money to keep him.

| Is this the first sign of Wigan being cash rich being a problem for them (like it has been for us)? If they didn't have Danson's money would they made the poor, but headline grabbing, signing of Thompson? I don't think they needed Thompson and now he inexplicably takes up a marquee spot that they'd be much better using on Smith.

Jack Farrimond is a young halfback in their production line who looks like he will be a special player.
Having watched both Smith and Farrimond at the same age, to me Farrimond has the edge over Smith.
It`s probably a little too early in Farrimond`s career to takeover if Smith leaves at the end of 2024 season though.
The signing of Thompson as a Marquee player on a long term contract means that Wigan may have to forfeit either French or Field to enable them to offer Smith a new deal that keeps the NRL clubs away.

On the pics on the training it doesn’t look like it.
Just a rumour, on the rumours topic.

| Another potential signing that didn't happen was only 6 weeks ago. We approached Jon Clarke to return in a coaching capacity, not fitness & conditioning. He turned us down in favour of a similar job offer in the NRL. I believe he's now at Manly.
