That makes even less sense??
However to answer your very perculiar original post JT will not be saying he wants to stay in league for less money and both he and Wane be portrayed as some kind of hero.
Its bad for the game whichever club you may support

you have to admit though..... if anyone would attempt such a publicity stunt... it would be wigan.
its probably just the rugby gods punishing you for signing gareth thomas..... i wouldnt worry too much about it if i was you.... the equilibrium is now restored.

| Quote: morleys_deckchair "I agree... i don't think wigan are such a 1 man team.... roland does bring great attacking qualities to the team,.. but there are plenty of other players out there who can also bring alot to the table..... and probably quite a few from wigans youth setup..... I do however think that you will see some drop in performances under wane.
'"
I think we'll just see a bit of a different style coming in, Wane will give a lot more chances to our home grown youngsters. That will inevitably lead to a bit of a drop off as we already have a reasonably young side to begin with this season.
We have a couple of fantastic backs coming through (Ryan King is a player I hope can go far) and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the vacant RC position.
Quote: morleys_deckchair "
its very doom and gloom on the wigan site ref the tomkins brothers.... massive over reaction going on IMO.'"
2 home grown youngsters, England regulars, who have coincided coming through to the first team with a return to winning trophies and a vast improvement in form.
We've planned on building our side around them, huge loss if they leave. Joel not so much as Sam, but he's still a big player for us (at 2nd row) that will leave a big gap.

I'm sure he will give the youth a chance.... your last coach didn't..... he was 100% win mentality.... he had no inkling to bring anyone new through really..... fadge knew it was a few year long jolly and coached the team accordingly.
wigan have lots of good young players.... i wouldn't be worrying about the future if i was a wigan fan.

| actually.... thinking about it.... wane could well be planning on being the person that 'brought attacking rugby back to wigan'....... maybe he wont be this clone of fadge that everyone is expecting..... maybe he is going to have a good go at restoring some credibility.

Madge brought a load of young players through in his first season, but yet only 1 player has made his debut this. I think its more a case of we were fortunate enough to not lose many players the end of last season, and we subsequently found ourselves with a pretty deep squad.
Off the top of my head I think he gave debuts last season to Tuson, Farrell, Charnley, Stef Marsh, Ben Davies, Jack Hughes (who might actually have been the one this season)

he walked into a club with the best recruitment policy and he didn't have to bring anything to the table..... that's all im saying.... he even signed a player on a 1 year contract from Australia and caused the departure of an English international to union.
im glad he has gone and wane is in charge.

Just remind me again how many ex Wire academy players Tony Smith selected in the last Wire game of the season v Leeds.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

Dunno, a few? What's your point? That Wigan have produced more players for their 1st team through their academy? Well spotted.
Doesn't make the point about Fadge's recruitment policy any less valid.

Come on Rogues, even you'll be the first to admit our academy is still several years behind Wigan.
An academy doesn't happen overnight, we are planting the seeds and reaping the rewards slowly at the moment. Cooper holding down a jersey over international Ben Harrison for example, Chris Riley regaining his spot on the wing forcing arguably the best English centre Chris Bridge to the backrow is another. AND an U20's GF this year shows clear improvement.
We're not too far behind and with the likes of O'Brien, the Evans bros, Dwyer, Laithwaite, Mendieka et al... And don't forget we don't have the talent pool available to the likes of Wigan & Saints either. As foremost this town is somehow dominated by a football presence even though the football team is barely known nationally, so we will still have to poach from other clubs, Danny Bridge & Ben Hellewell just to name 2. We are setting the foundations to build upon, hopefully we are ready when the big names start to leave over the next 3 years.
The future is bright for Warrington RL.

Come on Rogues, that's the sort of answer a squirming politician would give. Most of us acknowledge that Wigan produce by far the most young players in the game and we're a long way behind (but catching up rapidly). Answer the question.
