If it is in his favour, it will just be another contract that SJM or Middleton will have to buy out.
Surely they must be getting pi$$ed off with paying out for other people`s mistakes?

| Not a pop at Clark but I think I’d prefer a more intelligent hooker than a yard maker from the start. We have Walker as the one to provide the scoots against a tiring defence. I’d say Clark’s biggest flaws are his lack of game intelligence and passing from DH.
A lot to ask but I’d like a hooker with a real brain like Monaghan, one who organises and can see where to shift the ball. Leeming gave Clark a lesson on Friday.

And Leeming’s been given a lot of sick by us as that was something we haven’t seen before….

| Clark is a grade A player. Hard as nails and very talented. He's a meter maker though and a meter maker behind a beaten pack is as good as tits on a fish.
Problem with an intelligent game management hooker is, with our marquee 6&7 you run the risk of too many chiefs. Build to game around that spine I.E buy a ing pack and your 1 6 7 & 9 can perform as they should

| It pains me to say it as a Wire fan, but I fear Clark will look back at his career one day and wish he hadn't joined us so young and spent so much of his time here. If he'd found his way to one of the big three SL clubs or the NRL he would have had a stellar career. He's better than most of the guys those teams have had.

I know currie is a left edge second rower but i think he'd be a brilliant 13
What makes you say that ?
The way he’s “defended” this year I’m not sure a move to the middle of the field would be a good thing.
Isn’t his entire skill set just suited to backrow/centre ?

I would suggest his agent and bank manager wouldn’t agree with you or him.

| Back on Billy The Greek, credit where it’s due to the recruitment team. He’s in keeping with most of the recruits of the last 5 years so at least there is some consistency there which is a positive.

| Back onto Billy the Greek, why are we getting on the case of someone who was probably brought in as a squad player on a reasonably low contract? My issue is with some of our big earning 'internationals' who are criminally not even putting 100% effort in which is unacceptable.

Exactly - Billy is not the reason we are 10th in the league.

How do we know he’s on a reasonably low contract? We don’t do we. What we do know is (a) he’s a quota space and (b) he’s bang average. Poor recruitment? Again? No way.

Because good loose forwards are strong, fast, skilful players with good ball handling skills, Exactly what Currie is.
You can't judge his defensive in a team that is poop this year as everyone is missing tackles not just Currie. He's usually sollid in defense with great attack, and at loose he would have more freedom to roam and dip in and out of attacking plays.
I might be wrong but until he actually played there we won't know. I just think he has the attributes to be a great 13

Currie moving to loose forward, would also allow Powell to play Holmes left side second row.
