Your concern for good ole JJB is touching, if not a little self motivated, his tackle took the knees in their natural direction, surely if he wanted to injure the player, he would have gone in from the front to bend them back, and so cause injury.

| I think I get RL rules, but I wouldn't say I know them inside out. Recently, when watching Wigan, I've noticed Tomkins pulling opposition players off his team mate whilst he's being tackled. I can't point out specific situations as I don't make proper notes on them, but I see him pulling players off whilst waiting to play the ball, or coming behind the opposition's third man and pulling him off then moving to play the ball. Is it allowed or is it just seen as run of the mill RL? Can't say I've ever seen a player get involved in stopping the opposition's defenders other than when a player's getting pushed into touch.

| We had a player banned for 4 weeks for kicking out and his was nowhere near as bad as those on show on Friday. The amateurs get hammered for things that the pros get away with all the time! Surely it should be the other way round as the pros should be setting a good example?

Had Carmont not smacked him, then Smith would not have kicked out. If Smith gets cited, so does Carmont. The Tomkins kicking out was just petulance. The person who I would expect to be up at Red Hall this week is Ryan Bailey once again.

Was that away at Westhoughton? If so it just shows how depending on which side of the fence you sit how you view things. If it was the one the player got sent off in that game it was much worse. Four games was harsh though.

| Think people need to remember Wigan play by different rules and are exempt by the RFL the same punishments of other clubs

It was dangerous, but I don't think intentional though.

| I've ranted about this joker before and I wont go into all I've said about him again. I admire what he can do well, and he can do some things very very well, but I think the guy is a disgrace in many other ways.
I don't really think the kick out was that serious...there were two or three other things that got on my tits more than the kick out that are not in the spirit of RL whatsoever.

Ryan Bailey is an embarrassment. He is a true disgrace to this sport.

I assume you mean they get treated more harshley than others - e.g. 3 forwards banned for a few punches at a scrum (in addition to two being sent off) when a sin-bin would usually have been deemed sufficient???
Nice of you to be so concerned at the RFL's blatant favouritism of some teams over Wigan, but they seem to have a decent enough squad to cope.

Jesus Christ Padders - they've just had 3 players suspended for their part in a brawl. It's always nice to rip the p155 out of Wigan (and God knows we get enough chance with some of the unbannable Wigan idiots we have to tolerate on here) but this conspiracy Stefan Marsh really is tiresome, as is the suggestion on the other thread that theyre somehow getting a lucky break by playing crap teams every week. If Tomkins is due a ban, he'll get one. They're an excellent team and overwhelming favourites to win the lot. Why is it is hard to live with that?

By that definition then there is one good team and everyone below it is what? Average? I agree they haven't won anything. It's June. However they've been excellent in a number of games this year and have been much better than us for the most part. That's OK. It's allowed. I'd focus your energy on the improvement we've left to show rather than trying to belittle an opponent just because they're ahead of us in the league, have as zero talent cheerleader in the media and a number* of their supporters are classless morons.
*but by no mean all

| Tomkins given a caution what a lovin joke carvs got 2 matches for less of a kick out.
And the ninja tackle (official name for having a player gripping ankles together thus making the tackled player immobile with another player coming over the top nd putting weight on the tackled player, without the ankles being released to allow the player to fall naturaly) (i know someone on the review panel btw) doesnt even get picked up on.
