Quote: TheDoc "When was the last time the MOS winner didn't get into the playoffs? Or does this award suit the RFL and Rangi's Englishness'"

Jesus Christ! This is getting like the Wigan Board. How many times does it have to be said before it sinks in? It was voted for by the players, the RFL had nothing to do with it.

A brilliant (on his day) but sometimes inconsistent stand off. The stand out player in a team which has had an inconsistent season only managing to beat a top four team once, was on the end of a few drubbings and missed out on the playoffs. Made it to the cup semifinal but never really looked like getting any further. Opted to play rugby for a lesser nation in order to get to play international rugby.

Lee Briers should have won MoS several times icon_wink.gif

Quite a few SL players probably read the forum and they will know how sensitive the Wigan fans are, by voting for Rangi Chase it was odds on that the Wigan forum would go into meltdown if Rangi Chase won MOS with toys and dummies flying out of the prams.

It just shows that the players are human and like a good laugh, i wouldn't fancy being a Wigan street cleaner this morning as their will be dummies, rattles and toys everywhere, at least it will be decent overtime for them.

Maybe they had the same thoughts over the Wolfs fans and Monaghan?

Quite possibly, but without the insults to Chase and his club. You can't win everything.

Rob Wire, you want to make an appointment for you and Ron at the psychiatrists.

You have got obsessive compulsive behavior disorder, every post you make you mention Wigan even if the thread is about other matters. You two are never off the Wigan board.

Strange that, i rarely posted on the Wigan board. A couple of posts every now and then was about it.

Also being banned by trigger happy Wigan mods with zero sense of humour makes it a bit difficult to post anything icon_lol.gif

No, you just post on here or occasionally on the VT but all your posts that I see are about Wigan. They're usually bitter too.

Back in 2009 when it was Morley, Hodgson and Graham up for MOS. Everyone said Morley can't win it as Warrington missed out on the playoffs, even though they won the CC final. Looks like you can!!

Moz not winning in 2009 was a traversty, Richards winning last year for his million goal kicks and Chase winning it for looking like a headless chicken in an average side, i'm sure the players just look at the longest odds and have a cheeky punt down billy hills.

I was speaking to a player friend of mine about how its done.... and at the end of training its a case of

"right lads.... MOS voting time"

"FFS im playing golf this afternoon...... right... who is everyone voting for this year?"

forum filled in as fast as possible and off to the golf course.

it's given all of 2 seconds consideration.

Don't they vote at Easter or something daft, when Cas were good & Chase looked decent.

If he was only good at Easter, please explain to me how he kept accumulating points to win the Albert Goldthorpe Medal.

That means their instant decision was Chase - doesn't make it less valid. If the players can't put that extra thought in (and most can't as let's be honest they are typically a bit daft) then so be it.

That James Lowes should have got some kind of coaching award. 3 successive CC finals and 2 Grand finals.
