Nah, these cross-pennine Friday night matches are stupid. I won't be going but would have done if on the Saturday or Sunday - I know plenty of others who are similar.

Supporter's not being able to race over the lancs/yorks divide to watch matches on friday evenings thus having to settle down and watch it on Sky Sports is exactly what Sky want i'd imagine.

Very true, they aren't daft. I suppose the clubs are happy with it too, the choice of a few thousand extra fans on their attendance figures across the season or keep the people who give them over a £1m a year happy.

That's the interesting thing. From one angle, its justifiably annoying for supporter's being given a very small window to travel timewise. However, where do you draw the line between being a bit peeved at not getting to some away games, whilst at the same time acknowledging that your club is a business and £1m is substantial money especially in RL?
