I think he is limited. He serves a good purpose when he's on good form and gets some scoots from dummy half. However, I think he is very inconsistent and not as reliable as Jon Clarke. I think it was JWP during the close season who said you'll always get 8 out of 10 from Jon Clarke, whereas with Monaghan, you'd get 10 out of 10 one week and 5 out of 10 the next (he might revise that now). Higham, I'd say, is 8 out of 10 sometimes, but then he has some 6 or 5 out of 10 matches. I'd say he has very few, if any, 9/10 out of 10s.

Shows you how good our team is then if he isn't even in top 5 or so players, coz i think loads of players have been great this year

Maybe his opinion has changed since 2007 ?

Also Higham has a Warrington contract that was signed by Smith and is also longer than that of Clarke.
