A 'designated sporting event' is defined as an event or proposed event that has been designated or is part of a class designated by order made by the Secretary of State. A 'designated sporting event' also includes events designated under the comparable Scottish legislation. Provision has also been made for events outside Great Britain to be designated and travel to or from these events by public service vehicle or railway passenger vehicle within England and Wales will therefore fall within Section 1 of the Act. The 'period of a designated sporting event' is defined as the period commencing two hours before the start and ending one hour after the end of a designated sporting event except that where the event is advertised to start at a particular time but is delayed, postponed or cancelled it includes the period commencing two hours before and ending one hour after the advertised start.

I do drink, but not at 6am, that's my point chief. It's going to be a long day, either the travel sickness and alcohol indigestion will make it unpleasant for many travelling down and/or nobody will remember the game and wake up with a bad head.

Afterall, been 19 years since the last CC final, I'd quite like to remember this one!

Point is, I don't care if anyone drinks or not, but there's families and the like on many coaches, lets not spoil there day by causing scenes/ trouble on the way there...or back. Enjoy the game.

Don't blame you. We're driving down to High Wycombe then getting train so might bump into you in one of the fine establishments near the stadium. Infact i hope to. But i shall wait till the alcohol clears the night before, before i start again.

I doubt very much the coaches and trains will be totally alchohol free.....
if people can smuggle them old nokia phones into prisons up their jacksie, then I'm sure the odd Malibu and Coke is going to get smuggled onto one of barry cooper's finest......

are you sure that the pubs open at 6ish, need a few before getting on the coach as we are not allowed to drink on the coaches ???

is anybody actually going to risk takin alcohol onto the club coaches as it could inevitably end up with them being kicked off the coach and not being able to go to wembley?
