My views arent taken well because they are true and from a Saints fan so many dont like it. Many of the views that I express are also voiced by some Wire fans and shock horror they get no stick at all.

This thread is about turning the corner or not and I have contributed to the topic by saying I dont think that you have. That Bradford side is the worst in over 13 years so strolling past them while still managing to let over 20 in is not a sign of turning the corner.

I don't think your team have turned the corner just yet, but as much as people say Bradford were very poor, surely some of your tactics made them look ordinary?

If you can gain some confidence from that win and go and turn Huddersfield over, then your season I'd say be up and running.

I agree, if we play the way we played on friday, good defense and loads of options in attack, then i dont see why we shouldnt beat hudds

That's been my concern, I can see the defensive improvement week on week, but felt we'd gone into our shell offensively. I know we've not had Briers, but I felt the options the ball carrier had against Castleford weren't good enough. (I've excused Friday at Salford, conditions wise.)

On Friday we looked a threat all over the field. Left side, right side, around the ruck. We carried a threat from our own line, in their 20m, the lot. Morley set the tone with a break in the opening minutes right through the middle. Sure it was just one performance, but if you look closely at it, there was things to appreciate that would have caused any side problems, and sure, areas that we can further improve on.

What we're getting towards now though, for the first time in donkeys, is that you have to earn your place in our 17, regardless of who you are. Penny played well - Out. Blythe was good v Cas - Out. Mitchell - Out. Grix has been consistant - Out. Vinnie only made the bench Friday, he wasn't 'restored' as such, Briers has had the same. I think it's good to see.

Y'know ? We've got options now. Outside of that 17 on Friday, Mathers, Penny, Grix, Mitchell, Blythe, Rauhihi.

The amount of smiles on Warrington players faces on Friday, and the way they seemed to share each others success was greater than I've seen in an awful long time. The mood looks to be improving, the confidence will not lift, the style of the team is improving, defensively we are making strides, big strides. King now looks the part at centre (Oh yeah, where's the 'Kins isn't a centre, he'sa winger threads this week ?). Lots to be positive about, shame folk would rather cling onto a negative at times, c'mon, we don't have too many 'good days', bloody enjoy them.

Because we're near the bottom of the league. If someone makes up a rumour - like Gleeson leaving for financial reasons - people are more likely to believe it.

I don't believe we have turned any corner. What I do hope, is that this the beginning of a programme of improvement that will take us to a level of consistency not seen for 20+ years.

Im not bothered. Its the truth. Just because you lot have a terminal bitterness towards us doesnt mean its the other way around. I like you style of rugby, its entertaining and expansive, plenty of offloads so I like to see that.

You're not kidding. When Youane arrived at the ground, I'd just seen the team on the big screen and told him who was playing and said the team looked the best we'd had for ages. Then when we started to play, it was obvious we were set up to attack - Clarke's passing from the floor to props steaming on to the ball, Briers and Monaghan linking up, Briers kicking well for territory. The full back and the three quarters were also much more lively.

To be fair that comment was to make the point about Bradford being poor. They were. It wasnt an irrelevant point, it was highly relevant since Bradford being THAT poor means you cant read too much into whether you have turned the corner or not. If some people on here (not saying you) are too thick to see that as a reasonable point and get the hump because its from a Saints fan then thats their problem.

No they aint. They are the truth. Sometimes they are positive and other times they arent. The problem lies with some of the brain donors on here that agree with certain points if they are made by Wire fans but then take the hump if the same point is delivered by a Saints fan.
