At everyone of those grounds mentioned you get a better view than you do at craven park, in the eye's of the away fan's your ground will always be the worst ground for that reason and i'm going on Saturday before you say i'm making excuses not to attend.'"
Indeed so. Most of the old grounds were very compact and often had good atmospheres due to the supporters being virtually on top of the players. The only things blocking the view were the rusty metal posts holding up the stand roof.

When did we play at Belle Vue? Its not a ground I remember visiting but I do have some hazy years.
Simple solution to the crap view at Hull KR is to have bought tickets for the North(?) Stand. You know what the South Stand (aka Amsterdamn) is like and you can do things to sort yourself out if you want to. It is a bit rubbish charging full whack to stand at that end.

Wasn't it that one season when they were in the old Stones competition? They had Matuatia playing for them.

When the Stones League was going, we had Greg Mackey playing for us and Doncaster used to play in Gold and Blue, not sure of the year but 1993 or 1994 rings a bell.

| I remember going to Doncaster once. It was the first game that Cullen ever played in the forwards. I'm sure it was mid-week and peeing down (but that could have been Doncaster on a fine spring afternoon).
I didn't think that game was played at Belle Vue (although it might have been). I remember walking across some playing fields and paying at a table like you do at a school jumble sale.

| Since coming into SL we've added 1267 seats into the North end and added 1250 onto the capacity of the East stand. We have plans for another 1250 onto the other end of the East stand. The north stand will move to the South with a new North stand holding roughly 4000 will be built.
Rome wasn't built in a day and since being promoted to SL we've come a long long way. There are clubs AKA Wakefield being making false promises for years where actioning our promises and in 2 years time i fully believe craven park will be a ground where people will enjoy visiting and none will be worried about the views.
I've personally stood in the South stand and you can still happily enjoy the game you have to remember prior to us getting into SL we used to have two tracks round the pitch the greyhound and speedway track hence why the South stand is where it is. Without that revenue at that time we may not be here today. Even with that revenue we where still being locked out of our ground
Have a safe journey down folks i hope you enjoy the match and sing your hearts out. May the best team win.

I also remember it being a mid-week game, Wednesday i think anyway i was right about 1994 but they didn't move into Belle Vue until the start of 1995 so your right we may have played them at Tattersfield which was there home until they went bust at the end of the 1994 season.

The game I'm thinking about was at Tattersfield but was actually against Sheffield Eagles. Played Sunday 7th January 1990 and drew a mighty crowd of 1,298.
I've got vague recollections of going there again and abusing Bloem but couldn't swear on it for certain whether it was there or Belle Vue (or what Belle Vue looked like).

Maloney played stand-off, so that would be 94/95.

| Whats the latest forecast for the number of coaches you reckon you will bring ? Our local rag predicts a sell out crowd......it must be a long time that a televised CC match has had that.
Two sets of fantastic supporters and Rovers to win by one score.

| Somewhere between 15-25 coaches id imagine. Would expect it towards the lower scale.
