Well latest post match comments were "We are learning". What are we learning exactly? We don't have a young squad and it's not inexperienced.
Not long now til the inevitable "we trained well all week" gets a road test.

But what is the alternative? Who would replace him?
Incidentally, I was in David Lloyd's earlier this week and the whole squad and coaching staff were having a recovery session from Wakefield game. Relationships between players and coaches and, especially, SP looked really good so no way has he lost the dressing room.
Rather than having an easy pop at the coach and CEO, do we honestly think our squad and players are as good as we believe?
I personally do. Remember are the cups won in February???'"
In reply.
1. Henderson as interim head coach.
2. Never said that he had lost the dressing room. Cullen was close to his players right until the end.
3. Easy pop? Lose 10 games in 13, not win away for 6 months and struggle to beat Toronto at home you are going to attract critique
4. I believe with 2 x marquee players and a crop of internationals, we have a squad that is capable of beating Wakefield and which should have put the game out of sight today by half-time.
5. World Club Championships are won in February.

"We are learning" is a bit of a row back from "quick fix". This is like watching a car crash in slow motion.

| Quote: Wirefan "We do bizarre things as a club.
KF as CEO is akin to Chelsea appointing someone like Neil Ruddock as CEO. Simply wouldn't happen
Off season we lost a top draw centre in Goodwin and our response was to bring in a player from the division below, who regardless of any recent transgressions, wasn't even the best player at the club he came from and who are now our offload team. To use the same comparison as above this is a bit like Chelsea losing Eden Hazard and bringing in Stewart Downing.
We also desperately needed a new front line prop but went fishing in the division below for an unproven reserve player. Having realised our mistake we appeared to panic buy a player who has lost his way and his form in Latu. A bit like Chelsea buying someone like Barry Bannan.
I've said it before. Financial power of Chelsea, business acumen and ambition of Newcastle Utd. WWRLFC in rugby League terms'"
Some of these analogies are a bit OTT...Bryson Goodwin and Eden Hazard
Pedro/Giroud maybe.

BUT. I think even Price's mum must admit, this is enough.
IF we want near term success, this fella is NOT the answer.'"
Not fishing, it's a reasonable position that achievement in the past gets you an extended credit line.
It's the same reason why Ben Currie gets more time to get back to form than other players would, because he's done things in the past that other players haven't.
Last year's CC was probably the biggest achievement out of the 4, when you consider who we had to beat along the way and the fact we were heavy underdogs in the final.

This, I appreciate that getting a new coach in will be difficult, (especially so since I expect the same debacle as when we appointed price in the first place) but that doesn't mean it isn't the right thing to do.
Regarding the comment about the players displaying a poor attitude and not trying, I don't think that washes, who is responsible for making sure the players display the right attitude if not the head coach?

| Some interesting views on KF as CEO
To get things in perspective it’s a small business so attracting a top CEO would be difficult, but money talks so all things are possible. Plus KF didn’t appoint himself, the board recruited him. Most people would accept a top well paying job but also might worry that they don’t have the experience or credentials to be a success.

| Thinking about last nights game having cooled down a bit and hopefully being little more objective and rational.
As others have stated / suggested if we discount the amazing Wembley win for a minute and look at the league form. His record taking into the account the second half of last season and this is not good enough (abysmal) and some might say of sackable quality.
Is he getting the best out of the resources both on the field and off the field. Most certainly not. Is he improving players? Not much evidence to support this. Does the team offer any king of consistency, I would say not.
Do we wait until the season is completely ruined before the club acts. Probably.

I wouldn’t have KF as CEO of Aldi, to busy with gimmicks and not the product, in our case it’s the sport on the pitch. Yes he wants to fill the stadium with new fans but the RUGBY fans will drift if the results are not right. So do something about it or it’s another season of what is it some said Mediocrity.

| Obviously there are a few on here who are never going to watch another game & you will be sadly missed on this forum. But before you go is there anything at all of a positive nature about the game last night. The big crowd, Ashton's try, the number of kids, any decent players or even the performance of Toronto? Come on ... I know it's going to take some doing.

Admire your positivity but no. It’s been said time and time again we are not the club we once were, yes it was great going down to wilderspool and HOPING for a win but it’s different now. Beating Saints at Wembley or beating them 19 nil is just not enough, someone as posted stats on just how bad it is. Fair play if you can pick out fleeting moments of one good move but it’s simply not enough. Btw how can you sadly miss someone you probably don’t know. Yes fans are fickle and will stop going if the results are poor. Having a clown jump off the roof of the stadium is just gimmicks to get people in. To keep sports fans in you have to win it’s the nature of the business.

Aldi turnover £11bn while Wire turnover £7m. So you’re right about not having KF as the CEO. Local branch supervisor maybe

I enjoyed the game. It was open and entertaining
Mind you, I've only been going for nearly 60 years, so what do I know.

| I don't really want to get involved in the KF bashing becauae I think he has done aome good things; 11000 at home v Toronto is pretty good the marketing setup is good and the profile of the club is obviously high and attractive in order to attact the likes of Hoover to part with their money.
Yes, he appointed Price. But every boss makes appointments that don't work out. This ia where the board and KF need to step up - listen to the word on the streets, empathise with their customers discontent and take action.
I said it before and I'll say it again. The next 4 games are crucial. We have the squad to win them all. Our mental toughness is such we could lose them all. More likely is we'll win some lose some and be no further on. Anything less than a major improvement in performance and consistency should be construed as failure and steps taken.
