I really don't see Widdop coming and Cronk has only recently got his jersey in the national team, I can't see him being willing to give it up just yet.
But out of the 2 Cronk looks the least unlikely.
I haven't heard ewt about a hb other than the club reassessing a GOB to Bradford u'turn but about fuifui moimoi I've heard something. It was that he was heading for a deal with Wakefield but we have come in for talks about 2/3 weeks ago too. Salford enq a few weeks back but ruled out after the marquee bid rejection.

| Maybe the halfback signing will be a championship player - Ryan Brierley of Leigh or Gareth Moore from Featherstone. Brierley scores stacks of tries.

| Brierly would be a great buy but I'm sure he committed to Leigh?

I'm sure he did.
I'm sure if you interview him he will say "I am a Leigh Centurions player and I want to come in to Super League with Leigh Centurions"
I'm sure if you interview Paul Rowley his coach he will say "We are not a selling club and we have no intention of selling our assets as we aim to reach Super League."
The thing is money tends to talk to the chairmen of these clubs and when you flash a bit of it about it's a short jump to him doing an interview saying "The chance to come to Warrington Wolves was too good to turn down and I came here to compete for and win trophies".

Salford were after him, the club he supports. He turned them down to stay at Leigh.

| Update from moley....
Warrington are leading the race to sign Parramatta cult hero Fuifui Moimoi. The cashed-up Wolves have already recruited Ashton Sims for next season and reckon the addition of Eels wrecking-ball Moimoi could give their pack the firepower they have lacked this season. Wolves coach Tony Smith is also thought to be scouring the NRL for a halfback.

Ive got to say if we signed Fooey then that would add two more to the attendances next season. My twin 5 year old boys think he is the dogs doodies....they would demand to be brought along....

I don't watch the NRL, but I am aware of his reputation. However looking at Wiki I see he will be 35 in September and according to the Telegraph was dropped for his teams last home game. Are we sure he will not be spent by the time we get around to next season ?

| I reckon I could get a game for the Eels and my knees make Monas look like he's had Northern Irelands finest surgeons on them.
Just sign someone like Huby

I think if we were genuinely interested he'd be a one season buy to be honest ....and then We get Mike Cooper back from the NRL. Anything longer seems odd
I'm sure he'd want a two year deal though.
But that said he doesn't do big minutes like peacock, but he is still very energetic in his spells, ( he is no Asotasi thats for sure...) hes still a handfull with the ball in hand, and in my opinion he runs it in harder than Simms. he'll be a Good prop to bring on to let Chris Hill have a rest.
a one year deal with an option for a second....? like Matty Bowen..?
we'd have to put up with Rogues bringing up "over 30's" stats again but nowt we cant handle....

Compared to Asotasi, we'd've been better with Hong Kong Phooey

He can be quite accurate, has good sources in many NRL clubs.
