| What a superb second half display. Can't wait for the SL Show to see Austin's try again. Great stuff. What a signing. To nil a team in the second half for the second week running was excellent. Just a shame about that wobble for 10 minutes late in the first half. For me Austin MOM just edged it from Clark. Other notable mentions to Hughes and Davies and nice to see Sita back in the fold.

Yes, my bodily functions squealed in ecstasy at that point as well. Good job I didn't have my best shoes on.
As lefty mentioned, he has a sidestep to die for ...... and a deceptive, balletic, effortless running style reminescent of my beloved John Woods. There, I've said it!

| Quote: ninearches "The 15 minute spell was exactly like the 80 minutes against Salford but at least we staggered back onto the horse this time. Still shipping too much ground in defence in general play . Good to see the effort put in by the forwards & ,just like Philbin ,we have another live wire in Davis.'"
It seems churlish to complain after they put 50 points on Hudds., but I have to agree. If we had been playing Saints we would be dead and buried in that game. You can partly excuse the errors as a legacy of tiredness from the Easter period, but failing to move up in defence and players practicing their breast stroke when tackled instead of getting up and playing the ball was a real concern. No wonder Price was on the touchline in the second half. I thought Hudds. gave a really good account of themselves and were playing ? 4 squad members with numbers 30 plus on their backs. If it wasn't for their errors in the second half and Sita dispatching players to the medical room it could have been a different story.

| One factor in that 15 minute madness was injuries to Goodwin and Lineham. Tommy in particular ended the half on one leg and I was amazed to see him out for the second half, let alone finish the game.
Hudds exploited it, but we should have managed it better.

| I can't help but notice that throughout this season when we rotate Hill & Cooper at the same time we lose our structure and discipline, maybe one or the other would be more astute,
Today was a prime example, when they went off Huddersfield took the ascendancy and were on a roll !
Momentum is important.
the worst thing for Huddersfield today was the half time hooter.

| It's been the same all season. Hence we need another heavy mobile prop.

| Cooper mom for me, he was immense. As for Ben Currie, we all know he is the most talented player at the club, bordering on world class. But at the moment he is just living off his name and seems immune from criticism. He was abysmal in that first half, yet walked about having a go at several of his teammates after his own errors.

A tad harsh for me, given he’s only been back from a big injury for around 9/10 games.

Spot on. At the end of the first half, our left edge defence of Lineham, Goodwin and Patton were all struggling badly with knocks. Had that not been the case, our cover defence would probably have been able to prevent at least some of the points Huddersfield scored. The failure of the coaching team to address the situation was quite alarming. Their attitude seemed to be 'let's just get to half-time and then think about it'. It's all very well praising the players' guts and professionalism for toughing it out, but on the back of a hard Easter period, leaving them to play on for an hour when injured isn't great player welfare management.

| It was a good example of when it would be useful to have a player who is predominantly a back on the bench.
I listened to the radio and it appeared that we had injuries to Charnley, Goodwin, Patton & Lineham. All hobbled at some time. I can only think that the master plan was that Hughes & Currie would shift into the backs in a crisis.

Cooper was no where near MOM for me.
Sure he put a shift in, I actually think Hill was better up front as direct comparison and more importantly that 'shift' came with three or four quite noticeable handling errors
