I honestly don't want any more gone until we actually have some replacements and signings, not even Russel, who I think we could improve on quite easily.

Yes another without the right application and dedication.
Our dressing rooms sounds like it was a right mess this season.

| He was apparently the only one missing from Mad Monday so the clues were there..

| I posted a few years ago that Joe was a real socialite that loves to have a few too many beers to be a real top class player (whilst Westerman was still at Hull FC and some Rhinos fans were posting how good a signing that he would be for us) and I totally rejected the thought of him signing for us.
I work with guys that regularly frequent the hot spots of Cas Vegas and Ponte Carlo (Castleford and Pontefract) and they always say that Joe and Liam Watts can be seen having a few beers during their respective clubs beer curfew period
At 17 Joe could have been an absolute super star of the game and would probably have been in the NRL if he had the desire and application to go with his undoubted talent, the reason that he hasn't full filled his undoubted talent is solely down to Joe as only he knows the reasons why he hasn't been anything more than a good SL player
The £130,000 looks a great deal for the club as he only had one year left on his contract and could have left for nothing at the end of 2018
Anyone know the local beers of Toronto ?

| He was alright and we made 5k profit. More disappointed that Smith couldn't 'develop' him. If Smith had any say in signing him.

| He’s had neck, ankle and hip injuries this season. The hip injury especially kept him out for around 3 months.
You don’t know if he’ll have further issues so to get £130k now is a good deal.

| When a 27 year old player who is still under contract is being sold to a Championship club it's not a good sign that his career is going in the right direction. He might find it difficult to get back in to SL.

About 12 months I'd wager.

| Very good business indeed by the wire, seeing as his replacement has already been signed for nothing.

| I saw Joe Westerman make his Castleford debut in a friendly against Doncaster at the Keepmoat when he was 16/17.
At that point, he looked special. As he did during most of his time at Cas, especially in 2008.
Unfortunately, in his last year at Cas he started to believe his own hype and got far too big for his boots. He was lazy in training and spent far too much time on the razz (usually with Rangi Chase).
He never looked the same again. At Hull he was mediocre and had a decent season before he joined Warrington. Similarly, he was okay at Warrington but nothing special.
I do wonder whether he put too much weight on. At Cas he was never the biggest and he seemed to lose some of his potency when he bulked up at Hull.

HOWEVER, might have been nice to announce a player first. As it stands. Bobby the kit man is a starting prop.'"
Funny I heard he was in centre to replace a Hiku

| As it stands, Ocker would be an improvement on the squad, and he's been dead for years
