Ive got to be honest this season's dead for me.
We clearly aren't sacking Smith, so I'm just going for a Saturday afternoon pint.
he can play all players out of position because I justhttps://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q'"
Don't blame you!!
I personally think that only attendance figures will kick the ppl in charge into action !!
If pomeroy is out for the season as rumoured then ppl need to be sacked for his recruitment! and hiku is our only confirmed signing then I think there's still time for a new manager to come in and make some signings he's a good player that most SL clubs would sign if they needed a winger and he was available. I hope that the club are waiting for final confirmation of the middle 8s before making a desision this year has been a complete disaster and surely the club know that a few new players won't really fix the bigger problem that our tactics are just not good enough ! And the if plan A doesn't work then do it better next time has not worked out so far !!!

| I don't care either really, totally lost faith that the coaching staff can get the squad to perform at their best regardless who they pick.

| Quote: Winslade's Offload "Well we know Dagger will be FB and Johnson will fill in on the wing. Swapping Julien and Hughes around would be an interesting experiment, certainly from what I have seen of Hughes, he is no centre wannabe whilst Julien does have some credentials, but ..... I suspect TS will leave them where they are.
Will Brown come back at HB ? I would prefer to see Patton, but I am going to guess Declan might well sit this one out.
Finally will Wilde retain his spot ? I didn't see the Wigan game, but it sounded as though he did ok. Trouble is, by this time of the season you would have thought the coach would already have decided whether he is keeping Wilde next year or not.'"
I know that wont be the team but its the team that causes less chaos as it has players playing in their actual positions. Jullien played mostly Centre over the back row all his life so makes more sense to have him there over an out and out back rower in Hughes.
Every time Patton and Gidley have paired up we have produced out best performances. and last weekend was out best performance in months. so to change the pairing in the halves AGAIN surely it makes more sense to keep what worked?
Dagger isn't a winger and neither is Johnson. So I fail to see what Tony would achieve by dropping a winger to replace him with a fullback. If he was replacing a winger with a winger fair enough. It's no wonder how cack we are. we've had:
- A Back row at Centre
- A Centre in the back row
- A Loose forward in the halves
- A Fullback on the wing
- A Half at hooker
- A Fullback/Half at hooker
- A prop at loose
- A Prop in the back row
How can any team perform with that kind of inconsistency?

| It wouldn't surprise me if they picked the team using one of those bingo machines that throw numbered balls out....start at fullback & work through the team sheet. Luckil Cooper hasn't come out first yet.

| Quote: Dezzies_right_hook "Yes his last two games after everybody was calling for his return he was shocking his defence was poor he came in and didn't make the tackle countless times the same kind of things he has done all his career which he could normally fix it with his speed and fast reactions injuries and age to an extent have taken their toll he returned to us and looked a new player with a much improved defence and not making so many incorrect desisions
My main point was why waste game time on a player who does not fit into your plans and based on his last two performances he should not get into the side anyway when we have two young players who need the game time and will learn from their mistakes and improve whilst penny is not going to as he would have done it by now!!'"
Matty Russell has put in two years of utter abysmal performances on the wing, no one bats an eyelid because his scoots are dead good.
Penny plays two games and is below average and everyone looses their minds. Its worth noting that Penny came up against the best left edge in the comp against Cas in one of those. Against Wigan there was only one try down Penny's wing and even that was because Atkins was more interested in stroking Marshalls arm then putting a shoulder into his jaw.
Penny has done no better in attack but that's because our wingers receive absolutely 0 service. We're clueless in attack. Defensive wise Penny has done no worse at all. At least he can knock a ball out of play.

Nonsense his defence has been poor his whole career as has his desision making a few good games and a few good tackles don't make him any good !! We accepted his weaknesses as he was lightning fast however that speed has gone !! Cannot justify his performance against cas as well they're good that's laughable he was lost and absolutely garbage that game any of the fans could do a better job than he did that game
Yet you lot want him on the wing after his last game that's crazy and the only reasoning is he's a winger !! T

| If i were to list what i thought were warringtons ten finest tries over the past 30+ years then at least two of them would be by kev (both against saints) and he could get a couple more in there. The two tries at Knowsley road could not be scored by ANY current super league winger. Penny himself, some poor luck with coaches (lowes and smith) and playing in the wrong era stopped him becoming a superstar. Offiah would struggle for a game these days especially if his exits sets were average and he was poor under a high ball...and if he did play he'd get dropped for goosestepping and daring to entertain the crowd.

Des Drummond 182 appearances 69 tries
Kevin Penny 70 appearances 50 tries
And you think a bloke out of the crowd can do better than Penny.
That's the kind of garbage he's had aimed at him from day one.
Penny is done at this club you should just be happy with that.
For me his treatment here will remain won of the biggest travesties at this club and we've treated plenty rather oddly over recent years. bringing him back from a regular job earning a crust for his family and then not playing him is nothing short of perverse.
But you can rest assured Matty Russel still looks good on the 2018 official Calendar for next year because he sure as isn't a good winger.

| Had he burst onto the scene at wigan, saints or leeds then that would be about 500 tries in 400 appearances. Still no idea why he was dropped during his second stint when he was playing very, very well.

| The treatment of quite a few players at our club over the last ten tears says a lot about the management that has been in place during that time.

| Looked our best when Patton and Gidley playing in the halves!!! I suggest your right but pretty much explains the disaster of this season.

dez Drummond gb appearances 28 Kevin penny 0 dez Drummond highest superstars finishing position #2 Kevin penny not applicable Can make stats suit any argument !! And dezzies 88 try against saints is better than any penny has scored and he played 189 games in 5 years for us I'm sure as with most at some points of the year he was absolutely buggered !!
I agree penny's treatment has been awful, and that has he been at a different club then he could have been prolific and that he has scored some very good try's it's a shame his potential was never really fulfilled reasoning for it is another matter and not really specific to penny but our ability or rather inability to take the potential and develop and grow it into the players they could be ! The fact he returned from Swindon a better player than when he left us speaks volumes for me yes we seem to identify good young players but fall short on getting to fulfill that potential
But he was never a top teir winger he played in some very good sides who were scoring for fun his frailties were counterbalanced by his speed and clear effort and commitment to the club. To say at this stage of his career he should be in the team over two people who have a potential future is unrealistic and not going to help us progress or improve for next year ! I'm not sold on dagger as yet but it's unfair to judge him too much as I'm sure it was doubtful at the start of the year he would have been planned to play first team rugby so the game time he is getting is invaluable as the sae with Johnson maybe not in their preferred position but as said penny has done no better or worse than them soot comes down to wat else do we gain from playing dagger or Johnson over penny and tits development!! That's my reasoning behind my view tho I don't think that it's smiths also note I have not mentioned Russell as I too Amin agreement he is not the player he was when first played for us who was exciting and returned the ball brilliantly and scooted from dummy but not every set!!
