| Thought Wood and Morley along with Waterhouse carried in the forwards tonight. Hill, McCarthy and along with Harrison were about average.
Cooper for certain and one of Grix / McCarthy will have to make way next week.

| I thought we played ok in some parts,if we play like that against the big clubs we can expect a beating.
We didn't seem to click in the final third like we have been doing, the kicking game was spot one.Kept Hull on back foot and turning them around.
Room for improvement, saying that after last weeks beating by saints it couldn't have got any worse.

| I though our defence was very good, yours excellent.
I said on another thread that the packs where on par, but your backs and especially halfbacks were better than ours, unfortunately this proved correct as you just had a bit too much pace and skill for us, on top of your much better Kicking game.
Hopefully with new halfbacks and the young players coming through we can kick on again next year.

I hope and think you will. Top four for Hull next season and a refreshing change to the usual (same for when we joined the elite). I like Hull. Good fans, good stadium, good club overall. Potential to be big and successful.

Thus speaks a Rovers supporter.
I thought Hull gave a good account I.M.O.
Considering Hull were up against a solid defence ,and Briers kicking game,I didn`t think we came out of it disgraced.

| Dominant performance
An intense workout ahead of next week
I think we suffered from the lack of arm wrestles last season, when we were challenged we had no response, this year we have been pushed for 2 weekjs prior to the semi final.

| yeah pritty much agree with all posts we did enough to get the job done with a bit left in the tank and a real confidance boost going into next weeks game we improved throughout the game.
just hope that the improvement continues into next week and we get our attack going.

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

| MOM was Waterhouse for me. Really stood out.
Briers and Monas were very good with the kicking. (Also Briers tackling was incredible - really getting in Manu's face (?) time and time again)
Hull gave us a real stern test in the forwards and I thought we were 2nd best in that department for too long.
We had to grind out the win and I'd say that's just what we needed.
We didn't do that against Saints and paid the price for it.
The kicking variation was good to see.
Ratchford did very good work as did Higham and Hodgeson did what Hodgeson does.
We weren't fiting on all cylinders and will have to up the game next week, but I'm glad we had that match.

I'm not knocking Hull, they certainly gave it a good go, but Warrington could and should have put more points on the board.

| Woody played well last night. No daft offloads straight to the ground, no soft penalties for high tackles etc. Hull tried to rough him up with a few big hits, he dusted himself off and kept taking it up.
