Derek was the bloke who owned the place. He used to play in a band called Last Orders if I remember right. They used to play in the back bar of the Lion on a Friday night.

The Hamlet closed for a while and re-opened as Crazy Daisy but was never as good.

Shane fentons nightspot was on Mersey st, now Club Wired, the Hamlet was at the back of Woolies, which then became the Crazy Daisy, I think.
