| Quote The Angry Pirate="The Angry Pirate"Any chance of a lock on this thread??...
Surely the 'slagging off Jimmy Lowes' thing got a bit tedious about 3 months ago??
P.S...LWF??....Yes, we know Jimmy ain't much cop, it doesn't need you waffling on about it to prove it...

| Quote Latchford Wolvesfan="Latchford Wolvesfan"How much blame should be put on his doorstep for today's performance
IMO he picked the wrong team for a start, playing in the wrong positions and regardless of how much input TS had during the week, the job of getting the team ready was left with one man and he failed.
I was confidant before the game started that we would win despite us having our two forwards missing, the lads should by now know what TS expects of them but today it was like watching the team that played 11 weeks ago again under the guidance of Mr Lowes.
Interesting that TS commented on Teletext that he thought his England commitment played no part on today's result but i disagree, if TS was in charge throughout the week in training etc etc then i think we would have seen a major difference in today's performance and have no doubt that with him back at the helm we will beat the Dragons on Saturday.'"
At the end of the day the result had nothing to do with lack of coaching or effort it was down to lack of composure an example being that we gave the ball away four times on the 1st tackle which meant 20 less tackles for bradford and 20-odd more for us.

| Whilst I don't blame Lowes, it was a very Lowes-esque performance. Ie, it was what we were churning out week in week out pre Smith. It's difficult for us to know why that was, we're not in the camp, i'm sure that Smith will get to the bottom of it, what was clear from minute one though was that we had no shape, our defensive structures were poor, and every collision Bradford looked like winning, I thought they looked like making a bust every touch of the ball, they looked fitter and had far more appetite for the game, which annoys me.

| When I turned up today I said to the guy beside me if we lose this everyone's gonna blame jimmy and he agreed!
It was a very jimmy like performance, but we were due a loss. all those people that have been thinking of 10 game winning runs needed a reality check. hopefully that has come today and we can put that behind us and realise we're not invincible and we need to realise we've pulled things back well this season but there's a lot of hard work to do!
If we lose next week aswell, will that be down to Tony or the same players who played this week? Anyone is going to struggle losing 3 of their best players plus Briers.

| Quote Dawson="Dawson"Can't blame Lowes, would only imagine he has been following instructions all week.
TS would have strugled to pick a good team with Higham, Westwood and Morley out. Then to top that losing Briers.
We could have easily lost to Cas as we played poor, sounds like Bradford were just less poor than us'"
That's the key really. When I looked @ the interchange bench my thoughts were that Monas was to play interchange hooker, with Briers going off that plan was in the bin.
Fact is Clarke & Bridge with Monas should have been good enough to move us around the park which they weren't.

| Don't think you can lay all the blame with Lowes. Considering the players away and the Briers injury he was really on a hiding to nothing. If Wire had won convincingly then I'm sure the credit would have gone to TS.
That doesn't mean I'm a Lowes fan, far from it.
