Mitchell should be on the MOM list; the young lad showed a fantastic work ethic throughout. Riley was also strong although the nobs around me did nothing but slate the lad. Like I have said before, maybe some of these young local prospects should take to talking in Aussie accents.'"
He is Mark & he got my vote.

Pity Higham gave away the stupid penalty that gave Celtic the field position to score it

No he is definitely playing better and he now looks as though he WANTS to play but for people to say he didn't put a foot wrong is ridiculous. Watch the highlights later it is an amateurish mistake and it isn't the first time he has done it.
On the other hand there were a whole ruck of people in the South Stand whining about Riley and they virtually wished it on me that he would fumble kick returns. Yet certain others seem immune to criticism and strangely they are antipodean (and I don't mean just King but any stretch of the imagination).
People need to get their priorites right in this town.

I do think discipline is a problem. However the refereeing was utterly random.

| Briers impressed, certainly looked the most dangerous of all backs. Wood was excellent and his impact was just what we needed, I thought King did well, too, certainly looked more confident and seemed to be keeping good communication with the lads throughout. Both Briers and King seemed happier today, speaking and geeing up the others throughout.

| I thought Briers was fantastic today..I know that goes against the grain on here but there you go...
King ruined a decent display with another rush out of the line which cost us a try...
Penny knockers take note..

Agree Mark - really like the look of Lee and I thought Riley had a good game today, OK he spilled a couple but generaly a good performance.
Just how quick is he, that chase back to save the try was impressive.
Rather they all had local accents, but I know what you mean.

| tell you one thing that did cross my mind today, pie eaters and saints fans were bemoaning higham's passing off the floor which hasn;t been bad so far, however he doesn't seem to be too good running from DH then giving the pass, though you could blame johnners for one of them, over running it, but it did happen 2 or 3 times.

| Riley was fantastic today with a couple of sprints to save us and to gain field position. He seems to be a great professional who plays with a big heart.

I agree, actually, and I've been one of King's biggest critics.
That try was inevitable because our defence had been pulled apart in the previous play. It was five or six against three.
