If it was true, that would make Burgess a fibber on his very first public press conference.
He said along the lines that this is the team, every one has a clean slate, and there may be some additions later. That’s not a quote btw.
The Powell rumour came out while he was out long term, during the summer when Pies signed Leeming. Powell wasn’t offered a contract.
I’d steer clear if it were me. Pies seem to see his shoulder as a risk at 32 next season. As do I.
There was some rumour that he was going to Aus. I can’t see any NRL team wanting a 32 year old with a questionable shoulder.
Wire have already made that error with Widdop, you’d hope that might have learnt a lesson!?
He’d probably end up at Huddersfield as they seem to have a thing for signing aging players. |

After watching the PNG v Fiji game over the weekend I think you lot are going to have some fun with Rodrick Tai.
All action not always in a positive way but very entertaining to watch.
Big shots big carries charging around the field like a headless chicken at times looking to make an impact, he definitely needs work of the disciplined structured side of the game particularly in defence but hd will be great to watch.

Yes he played centre.
Positionally in defence he was shocking flying out of the line all the time looking to destroy the Fijian attackers and when it worked it looked great, other times he looked ridiculous.
He’s clearly very physical I do though wonder if he will be able to adapt to defensive disciplined structure.
His effort was first class though even when caught out he would bust an absolute gut trying to get back and make up for it.
Genuinely look forward to watching him as I don’t believe it will be dull. |

Rather have him than Dwyer and talking of him suggestion on Wigan board is he is going to Salford with Partington coming this way. The rumour mill is going full steam ahead now  |
