I find the wave of the cheque book to cover up for the failure of our youth policy to be as disappointing as the inability of the cash addled players to deliver a GF win.

It sounds as though we're looking to the NRL for our tough no nonsense prop enforcer for next season. Personally I'd be looking at players like Partington at Wigan and Ashworth and Knowles at Stains. With our lack of ability to produce young players like these who are only going to get better who are probably only being paid 30-40k we should offer 60-70k and see if they'll jump ship rather than blowing 100k plus on some aging Aussie. We're crying out for players who have a bit of arrogance and toughness about them which the above young players have....sadly our current pack is lacking this!
