That's the spirit pal get yourself over to the Wigan forum and tell em John Monie was a garbage coach because he won nowt with France... its that simple it really is.....
And just to help you along the most under performing side at the world cup were Wales and their head coach has just ousted the most successful British coach in the super league era at the Richest Club in the world............
if you want to have a laugh at another club you've come to the Wrong place unlike Richard Agar.

Crickey!!! - you honestly believe that Wales were the biggest underperformers in the RL world cup as opposed to France - wow!!!
Oh well heres the evidence - please feel free to make your case for the mighty France who managed to score THREE tries in FIVE HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES OF RUGBY!!!!! Also just looked at their squad which contained 20 FULL TIME NRL OR SUPER LEAGUE PLAYERS.
Please enlighten me as to your rational!!!! - you seem such a well informed sort of fella
France 9 Papuia New Guinnea 8 Wales 16 USA 24
France 6 Sammoa 22 Wales 24 Cook Islands 28
France 0 New Zeland 48 Wales 16 Italy 32
France 6 England 34
To be fair though in relation to the Bobby Goulding interview comment, I can hand on heart say that if I was given the choice between Ellie Goulding and Rich Agar to be our coach - I would be more than happy to go with the little pop princess. Agar is desperate - unbelievably bad - he has great ideas like playing almost every player in the team out of position as well as his fav trick of leaving replacements on the bench for the whole match watching their team mates barely able to raise a walk let alone a jog. You have my friend as we say over this way "bought a pup". GL

A slight over reaction I think - Agar is coming in to be Smiths assistant - one of the first team coaches - in the same way that Poching and Marshall are - and tbf, they don't have a massive impact on the real decision making!
Smith & Moran KNOW what they doing - having watched my team for 35+ years, and seeing the transformation under these guys, I know, given the choice between their thoughts and yours, who's I'll be trusting!!!!
Whether he's poop or not - he will still be working for Smith, and he will still be the real decision maker. He's come to be an assistant, and learn. I have no worries about it - certainly not until the end of 2016 - then we will see!

| Quote: Fantastic Mr Catpiss "Guardian today says Poching is looking for a head coaches role for next year, or at least it is time for him to reach for it.
Marshall is taking time out to decide on his future, whatever that means.
I've been thinking about the Agar thing since it was announced, and whilst I'm still not thrilled about him coming on board, you have to at least admire a little bit, that he's had the balls to say "i want to leave, i want to go be somewhere and compete". People complain all the time about standards dropping and teams in the bottom half of the league stagnating/standing still. So its a bit refresshing to see this kind of attitude from someone at a lower placed club.
PLUS we've got a better chance of getting danny kirmond if Waterhouse does pack in at the end of the year.'"
Its an interesting point you make regarding "I want to leave I want to go somewhere and compete" - its a little bit like Jack Duckworth saying I don't want to sleep with Vera anymore I want to sleep with Cindy Crawford. Or maybe like me leaving school with four low grade GCSE's and saying "I don't want to go to Worksop College of further Education I want to go to Harvard"
You guys are in for a real treat with Richard - my god I am still totally amazed - that said I am delighted we no longer have to suffer with him at the helm. As I write I am still laughing out loud at this absolutely incredible news - honestly guys and this is no wind up it really is the most unbelievable news I have ever heard - he is awful ask the thousands of Wakey fans and the significantly greater thousands of Hull FC fans. Hull being a club that spent the full cap with a larger than average fan base and income where he was in charge for years and very much in a position to "compete" - but alas he made a dogs dinner of it - and made the club a laughing stock.
I still can not get over this news it is bizarre in the extreme

TS will be in charge and Agar will be there to implement the regimes, training methods etc that TS wants. Agar will have his input and will bring some new things to the club, but it will be TS that has the final say.

I'm amazed at how angry you are with Agar.
Your club has more issues than just him, hence why he left a head coach position to become an assistant. He has ambition and wants to learn from the best and IMPROVE. He couldn't do that at a bottom-table club like Wakefield.
I think you need to come off the internet for a while and have a rest.

Totally admire your dogmatic stance on this - I assume that you are still of the belief that the world is actually flat and not the sphere that is has been proved to be. It is sometimes a sign of strength to acknowledge that you are wrong and have made a mistake especially when faced with what in my opinion is a pretty conclusive argument based on fact. Five hours and twenty minutes where you score a total of 3 tries and your only win was by 1 point against PNG for a squad full of SL players playing for a nation that year on year had made good progress is my friend pretty desperate - still like you say it was the Welsh who underperformed - because they with their predominantly part time players were playing at HOME!!!!!! - your good my friend but not quite Carling. Please any other posters who agree with the biscuit let yourselves be known!!!!!

Bottom of the table club - yep, that's been us for a long time now but never have we seen such a diabolical shambles on the pitch as we have had under him - no heart - no guts no desire and no idea. I am not angry any more - I like all of the other Wakey fans are over the moon he has gone. As for him still wanting to learn and improve that is indeed admirable, however it is akin to Cyrill Smith turning up at Lester Piggotts house and declaring I want to learn how to be a great jockey.
Smith is a tried tested proven top quality coach who I respect and admire - my god I hope for your sake he stays around for a long time and lets Richard nowhere near the team.

Just a few small points that you appear to have overlooked. 1, Why has done well with the French over the past 25 years? No-one. 2. Who has done well with Hull over the past 15 years? Possibly john Kear, but certainly no-one else. 3. Did Agar coach Wakefield almost to extinction? No, you may remember the names Ted richardson and Andrew Glover. Agar built up a reasonable side on the cheap after the Richardson debacle, and then tried to build another side with virtually nothing after Glover pulled out. No-one could be anything near successful under those circumstances.

1st point first then
I look at France RL in a similar way to the Italian RU development - when Italy joined the six nations they were tonked week in week out but over the years gradually made tangible improvements to the point where they are no longer a push over for any of the northern hemosphere teams - this is how I saw frances development they were getting better year on year then Agar did the World cup where they were abysmal (do you not think they underperformed - sure nobody thought they would win it but come on there performance was awful and not in keeping with the progress they had been making)
2nd point
Kear (a great coach in my opinion - who incidently put out a competitive side at wakey who rolled over for nobody on around 60% of the money spent on salaries that Agar has spent year on year over the last 3 years) - Brought the first real silverware to the Hull club by winning the challenge cup against Leeds. Agar couldn't carry Kears jockstrap.
3rd point
Under Glover
The side we assembled was not on the cheap at all - that's why we ended up in the mess - players been given long term contracts on big bucks.
Under Richardson
The side we assembled was on the cheap with lots of kids and old timers whos best was behind them -Kear got them to perform to the best of their abilities and this was all we could hope for.

Judging by your user name I take it that you didn't make it to Harvard but then again judging by your posts it doesn't say much for Worksop College of Further Education either
