Terrific game where chances were bombed by both teams in the last 10 minutes or so. Salford will be gutted after being 24-12 down and getting back into the game.

Top second half that. Salford v Field. Best I’ve seen all season. Feel sorry for Salford. Field to Wigan is what Sandow was to Wire. Take him out and Wigan will struggle.

I liked Sandow but not a patch on what Field has produced for Wigan this year.

Fields good, but we do have ashton

JF can step off each foot to create a gap but with legs like Ashton.
Have we stifled Ashton by not playing at fullback? I think we have, but Thewlis is ripe for it.

Put Field in the Salford team, and they would have won that game.

He was the difference.

Ashton is quick but not quite the nifty feet of Field.

How much weaker can it get? If you take Field and French out they are worse than Leeds. There is no one in their team worth resting other than those two.

Who knows but I'm not convinced Wigan will rest many against Wire.
Deep down they must feel unlikely to beat Saints whoever plays for them.

While St Helens are quite rightly the favourite to win the Challenge Cup Semi Final game versus Wigan, it is a one off game, and in cup ties, form/class doesn`t always guarantee a victory.

I would be more magnanimous in your posts, they could bite you, if you lose that game.
