| Looking at the game and the views of other posters I think Carvell will receive a one game ban and Mozza will get away with a warning. I'm basing this upon the fact that Carvell appeared to make a movement towards the Castleford player, however with Moz the contact was exaggerated by the fact that Sherwin appeared to inadvertently/accidently duck into the tackle.
I'm not condoning any of the actions of the players, however I believe that the RFL might take a look at each case with an eye on the game at the weekend which could be a great advert for rugby league - SL 15 has, so far, been blessed with great games and great attendences and I believe the RFL will not want to throw a spanner in the works of a local derby with 2 unbeaten teams in front of a sell out crowd (and on Sky). Banning both players would blunt the Wolves and possibly dull what is going to be a spectacular match.
Yes the contact and tackle were awful, but if the RFL take a more realistic approach (and only ban one player) we are all going to be entertained on Saturday by a match full of action, passion and big hits!! If both teams are at full strength it'll be even better!!

| I Think both will play on Saturday, not much in both incidents. However, if I would have to guess who would get a ban it would be Carvell. IMO, Morley will get away with a warning definitely.

| Looking at some of the posts on here, a lot of people seem to have different views on it! Some people think Morley will be banned and some Carvell.
I think it could go either way for them both depending on how it's viewed by the panel.
I think we will lose one of them.

Good post but I can't believe for one moment that the panel take any teams next game into account. They have to jugde on what they see and any other circumstances that help them to reach a fair decision. I still think Moz was wrong footed and the challenge was clumsy but nothing more. Carv's was a case of leading with the forearm imo and that must carry a ban of some kind. I'd love both to play on Saturday but can't see that happening. If one or both are missing it will make yet another home win against the pies taste even better.

| The RFL didnt take bans into account with Quins. They had numerous injured but still banned LMS.

| Carvell will get banned. I cant see them overlooking his offence.
Morley, again, I don't think it will be overlooked either but with a lesser charge. I think 2 games and 1 game respectively.
As the game was on Sky, there is alot of pressure on the RFL as the whole viewing public will be checking on the outcomes with interest. This, as apposed to a non-TV game where it would typically just be in the interest of the player, club and its fans.
That's my view.
If both banned we will struggle to beat Wigan IMO.

shame Our game was on TV and both incidents were bitched about at length by all Wiga....sorry Sky commentators
I suppose a box set Blu ray disc is sent with love from Sky to the RFL to add weight to the case against....unlike this bloke from Rochdale Hornets
Late/high challenge on kicker
Decision No charge
Details of Charge / Reason for NF Late challenge, DVD inconclusive, Referee dealt with appropriately

It was very early on. It was the first penalty of the match - McGoldrick kicked out of the tackle and Myler reacted.

| We all know they should be banned but we hope they are not because we want both teams at full strength for Saturday's mouthwatering game.

I'm not sure who it was, but the timings on the RFL report (2minutes in) would indicate it's the same incident

| I think that one of them may get a ban. If not, it will be both of them. If not, neither of them will get a ban.
Who fancies betting me that the above doesn't happen ?
