I’m glad we’ve got a tough game, had we been playing London/Hull/Saints this week it would’ve told us nothing.

Tricky game to call for me, Salford seem to have Wires number recently and playing them after an awful cup final defeat. will be a huge test of character for these Wire players. Burgess has to make sure the squad have no cup final hangovers and are fully prepared and concentrated on Fridays game. My concern is the players mentality, we saw how wire imploded last season after a 8 game winning streak, in which the team never recovered from.

The 17 picks itself, it’s not a game for Burgess to gamble with unfit players or players off the game.

Should it be though? Or is it just a home game vs Salford that we are perfectly capable of winning?

However, I do get what you mean. The jury is out on whether the squad has developed a backbone under Burgess.

Barring Fitzgibbon.. any other changes I wouldn’t take the risk with this Salford game. Especially with top 6 been so tight on points, dropping points could see Wire tumbling down the table.

I am relatively optimistic & think we are different from last year. I think we have several better players & an improved attitude. In addition ... we are not playing Wigan.

You’d expect a home game against a Salford team made up of journeymen, Wire would have enough quality on the park to get the two points.. but Rowley is a very good coach who gets his team up for it, and whilst Wire might be wallowing in self doubt and lack of confidence after last weekend.. you just know Rowley will be into his players too exploit any weaknesses that this Wire team have shown in the past.

Wire by a clear 20 for me, I think we're a different animal this year. (Plus, if the players really do like Burgess as much as we hear they do, then they owe him a big performance after that shambolic one last week - he isn't going to sign an extension if he doesn't think they're listening to him).
