| From the day we heard of the diagnosis it was always a matter of time but it still comes as a shock. A player any club would have wanted in their team R.I.P young man.

| Have to give a mention to Kevin Sinfield at this time, he has worked tirelessly to raise funds for his friend and others that have been struck by such a horrible disease. He himself must be terribly heartbroken right now. I just love how all Rugby League as come together to pay respects.

| RIP Rob Burrow, hope he gets recognition at the final with a minutes applause at the ability to donate to MND research in some way, as others have said warrior off and off the pitch true inspiration. Thoughts and condolences to friends and family at this sad time.

The plan is for all fans to stand and clap when the Challenge Cup final reaches the 7th minute. I am sure that the RFL will also recognise Rob’s passing.

Seen this all over Facebook both sets of fans on Saturday saying they will be paying tribute to the great man. I think it will be an emotional day.

| Only 41 years old. It gives us some perspective about life and some of the silly arguments we get into on here. Our lives are not infinite and some cruelly draw a very short straw. RIP

| Programme on BBC 1 tonight at 8.30 Only one Rob Burrow it includes a message he recorded to not be played till after he passed away, I’m thinking it’s going to be a tough and emotional thing to watch.

| I've not posted until now as I cannot quite find the right words. Very sad that Rob has lost his battle, but his (and Kev Sinfield's) legacy will go a very long way to win the war for future MND patients.
Best wishes to his family and friends.

| Although construction work has now begun on the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, in Leeds, I read that they are still about £1 million short of the £6.8 million total needed to fund the project. If they took some fundraisers with collection buckets to the final on Saturday, I reckon they would get a fair chunk of the money they still need.
