| As I’ve said before - last year being my first season - didn’t have much to compare to but I thought Peter was a bit rubbish. Seems like he’s had his Weetabix this year. Good lad

| I presume this seasons version is why Powell brought him in.

| A player who got unwarranted stick last year, he's a good solid consistant player who's always full of energy and effort. I hope he gets at least another year with us.

| I wasn’t impressed with his signing, he looked like a headless chicken most of last season, and i would have been happy to see him leave. However he has looked a different player so far and I’m happy to be proved wrong.

| Totally agree Captain much better this year than last. Was OK defensively but there seemed to be plenty of opportunities to put his winger away bit didn't plays seemed to stop with him cutting inside and crabbing back slong the line

Incidentally, what has happened to Sally? Conspicuous by his absence. I would have thought he'd at least come on here to provide a bit of a counterpoint to the positivity and hysteria? Hope he's okay.'"
I was expecting at this point us to be won 3 lost 4 or something and a big "Powell out campaign" so I was going to have to be in here making my usual points of:
- Powell is the right choice as coach and needs to be backed like Arteta was at Arsenal
- The current squad is nowhere near a title challenging roster and we need several more years of squad building
We're doing much better than I expected so I haven't had to make the case for Powell. I'm still sceptical that the squad strength is truly enough to challenge for trophies but you cannot argue with the results so far.

The squad isn’t at the level of Saints, I’m sure most would agree, I mean we started our last two matches with a right wing combination of Minikin and Russell! But that’s the beauty of a coach like Powell… he seems to get teams punching above their weight. Just hope we can make it happen when it counts and win the wrestle of a typical grand final match.
FWIW I don’t really see a massive amount of quality in any team’s squads this year. There are a few stars as usual - the likes of Williams, French and Welsby - but outside of that we have nothing like the depth the NRL. On paper I’d say Huddersfield should have the strongest squad, but they don’t look that great on game day.

Huddersfield look to have a lot of decent players but no star quality except for the loose cannon that is O’Connor.

I think Pryce has the x-factor about him, but he’s only here until the end of the season. Connor’s big issue is proving he can play at a decent level week-in, week-out. Hudds do seem to have a lot of depth though. Ian Watson has no excuses.

You’re right Pryce does look class.
