| I've just watched the first half of the KR game.
Clark is playing out of his skin
Ratchford has a new lease of life
Matautia is playing well
There is a great team spirit
We are miles better than last year.

What is a multiplier contract?

| im not party to how much Clark and Currie are being paid, but know enough to think that both will need to take a decent sized pay cut to stay.
My guess is there will be other clubs, waiting in the wings with better deals... So we could lose both.
Clark could have a testimonial with another year... so that could be a nice bargaining tool.... Currie will likely end up at the highest bidder.
im not really fussed on the others. The NRL centre rumoured to be coming, is probably a direct swap for matatutia

| I was all for getting rid of Clark, but now I’d be pretty desperate to keep him. Maybe not marquee money but certainly a high earner. Wouldn’t want to see Clark at Wigan or Saints.

| Clark will be here, so will Currie, Mata'utia i can see getting a 1 year contract. I assume it'll be either Minikin or Russell who stays and i'd prefer Russell.
Longstaff was gone last year, there was no way especially after his loan this year he was coming back.
If we are chading a centre i assume it would be Gildart, but i hope not and hope Wrench is our starting centre next year.

Perhaps I’ve not used the correct term.
But it’s a tiered contract.
For scenario & example.
A club is hit by C-19 but wants to keep the best player but are basically running debt.
So to manage the debt through the pandemic, a contact like, year 1 - £100k, year 2 - £200k, year 3 - £300k.
Those figures are my own and used only to explain the ‘multiplier’ tiered contract I referred.

| Clark is currently playing as well as I have seen him. He has often looked as if he has been playing injured but not now. This loose forward role is really suiting him & even when we get our extra big boys back playing it would be wise to give him some time in that position. With a few more forwards about it would also be handy to give him the odd spell on the bench ... he deserves it.
Not many like him about ... keep him.

Agree with that last part I’d prefer Wrench over Gildart.

Any chance you can Try explaining this again for me, like I'm 5 years old.
How was covid 19 anything to do with daryl clark's contract that was signed in 2019? (Aside from the two instances of 19)

I was asked to explain and I said a ‘scenario’ how a building contract might be used or set up. It’s not Clark!
I stated I don’t know the details of Clark’s contract. His contract might have been signed when we had 2 marquees or as future deal on another.
I’m sure there can’t only be Clark and/or Wire who have this type of contact. It may even be Currie who is/was also on it.
Thanks for the info on Clark’s contract signing btw.

| IIRC Walker was given an extended contract last year to end of 2025 so it can safely be assumed he stays hence his improved game time. Clark is increasingly being used as an extra middle and this is likely the way forward for him at the club. If he’s happy he stays if not he moves on. The unknown factor is the possible testimonial after 10 years service which certainly paid a part in Curries last renewal. However having seen Charnley granted one last week who knows.
