| Another good win tonight. Shame about the 2 late tries conceded but gives us something to work on.

| Shame about those last 2 tries but incredibly encouraging. It was Hudds first game but only our 2nd with a virtually new squad. Radio Merseyside saying we played really well and that Huddersfield were good too.
Also, credit to the 1500 fans who made the trip.
2 out of 2 and this result is terrific (Hudds had best home record last season I think).
Onwards and upwards.

| Thats a far more significant victory than last week.
The two late tries you can put down to sheer exhaustion on the back of a lobsided set restart count, feverish defence and early season heavy legs.
A genuine statement win.

| Good win for Wire, at a venue where I can`t see many other away teams returning home victorious.
Tremendous resilience from the lads, given Mr Kendall`s interpretation of the 6 again rule, in the 1st half
Very happy with the performance, we did concede 2 late trys, but the game was already ours by then.
Young Holroyd played OK and held his own against a decent set of forwards but was substituted in the 2nd half with Matautia` moving into the 2nd row and Minikin playing centre.
Another big performance by Jimmy Harrison.

| Wire were impressive tonight in a totally different way to last week.
The first half defensive display was truly immense.
OK so we contributed a little with pens/knock ons in that period of the game, but to come off at HT 8-0 after defending 5 or 6 sets on our own line - well I've not seen that for a long time.
We also slipped up and switched off a little towards the end allowing them in for 2 quick tries, and the scoreline on the whole was fair imo.
If it had been 26-6 that would have flattered us.
Huddersfield definately restricted us in the first half so fair play to their forwards. In the 2nd half Pryce caused us a lot of trouble.
Pleased for Ratch. He kelp Naiquaima fairly quiet for most of the night, and 5 out of 5 goal kicks can't be faulted.
One frustrating thing for me and fans around me was that the ref seemed to give a lot of 6 agains etc and it was really difficult to see why.
MOM?
Really not sure. Kasiano made a big impact when he was on and scuttled a few - some great handling for the Harrison tey.
Harrison played really well.
Danny Walker seemed to have a good game too.
Nope - can't make my mind up.

| Ashton MOM for me - sound under high ball, great defensive reads, and great dummy for his first try.

| Harrison or Ashton for me but there were 8/10s all over the field. I put the last two tries down to fatigue as our edges had had to work very hard in defence, especially Matautia and Ratchford. A very enjoyable evening's entertainment.

| The Merseyside commentators mentioned more than once about the present Huddersfield team being content to stick in games & grind out even late wins. It really was a great first half defensive effort from the Wire though that won the game.

| Powell has mentioned that Harrison isn't even in full training yet due to his knee. He could be our new Chris Hill/Walmsley type signing. Fingers crossed.

| We couldn't really have had a more encouraging start to the season. Going well ... just hoping we don't pick up more injuries in the forwards in the next few weeks.

| Looks like Marshall in defence was the missing key. We're water-tight at one end, and expansive in attack at the other end. Lots of work to do, but we're finally looking like an all-round Powell-esque 'team' of players, rather than a few expensive 'stars' rooted firmly in their comfort zone.
Still early days of course, and plenty we can improve on. But we look top six right now, which we certainly didn't after game 2 last year.
