| Strange. What's the end result here? Both turning into permanent deals?

| Bit mixed over this, granted we need a body in but surely the opportunity should have been to give wrench an extended run at centre

You would hope so, but why only a loan deal? Maybe Wardle is already signed up by Wigan.

| I can't wait for the release of Cooper, Charnley & Kings hardback "Powell: Why he's a W*nker" with foreword by Steve Price.

| King has been very average for a while and if you don’t want to dig in and support the coach then get rid
I like the clear out more and more and although the season is a total write off we are looking a lot stronger for next year

I assume Powell plans to use Mata'utia at half-back, with Wrench and Wardle isn the centres. Where to use Ratchford seems to be the issue now.

I was wondering reading post match and wondering if it was going to be a permanent fixture.
Though,I was somewhat annoyed we went through pre season and then switched our 1 and 6 around, now we've got a centre at stand off

Powell is certainly being ruthless with the clear out. Better than a slow and painful transition that lasts 3 years though IMO. The fans wouldn't have the patience for that at all.

| Maybe Widdop is off, so Thewlis to FB and Wrench on the wing?

First time Wardle knocks on this site will implode under the weight of people declaring they always said King was the next Phil Blake.

No one likes to see a few good players from the past leave the club in these circumstances, but I agree with you. What we've tried for the last few years hasn't worked. The goal was a grand final success, not just to plod along doing a bit better than the average team.
What we're seeing now is what we've been asking for at the back end of every season, a big shake-up. And we've got a massive one. At least we know the players coming have been signed knowing what's expected of them by Powell, there will be no upset egos. A fresh start for these players is good for them [iand[/i for us.

He’s got nothing to lose.
If you don’t buy in to what he’s doing and you want to bend the rules then you are out.
Nothing wrong with that

That would make sense.
Widdop will definitely be off. I thought he'd be retiring and going home, but it seems Wakefield are rumoured to be in for him. It's weird to think he came here at 31 with the goal of playing in a final at Old Trafford. Shows just how wrong the last few years went.

I agree, this year has been awful its becoming more and more clear why and the player power is being dissolved. Its what we all wanted as was mentioned earlier.
Glad we are seeing some good players coming in too, maybe by the end of the season the green shoots will become much more noticeable. Mikaele, amor, Wardle all have no baggage and put us in a better position to end the season well IMO.
Did anyone notice KFP looking glum at the end of the match alone in the stands? Wonder why that was, doesn't he like us winning or something?

| Powell has said long-term Wrench will be centre
Thewlis will be FB long-term
Short term, Matutai to stand-off, Thewlis wing, Widdop FB and Ratchford either bench or squad seems fine to me.
Matutia actually looked to have a decent kicking game and Ratchford has lost the spark that allowed him to slip tackles.
As for King, always sad to see a youth product go, but you can't hang onto them through sentimentality if they cease to perform.
