| If this signing gets confirmed then it leaves either Ashton or Charnley out in the cold. That's quite cheap £114k for a player who has been as good as Fergus on has previously (going back a few years now though), however if we have £114k spare then it should be spent on a quality front row player, Jason Clarks wage should also have been spent on a quality prop. Then we may not be in as much of a mess now.
If we sign a (formerly) high profile winger now when we are desperately light in the forwards then our recruitment team needs a full overhaul (it does anyway).

| Doesnt Powell have authority on all signings now? Absolutely no chance he’d go for this. If he does then I’m out of his corner.

| Ferguson was good last year for the Eels.
He would do well in Super league and he would at least give Warrington some go forward.

| I don't follow the NRL (Auntie is too tight with the TV money), but isn't he 'troubled', and also aren't we supposed to be breaking the cycle and rebalancing our spend?
This doesn't seem to fit that strategy and seems like the kind of thing we 'used to do' (fingers crossed).

| Wiki makes him sound cool
“ Blake has been disciplined for several incidents of off-field behaviour. At a music festival in November 2012, he was escorted by security staff out of a VIP area after reports that he had been spitting on patrons”
Nice lad

Don't judge too harshly, one of our best players in recent history had a sexual encounter with a dog, one of our recent centres had a penchant for taking a dump on hotel tables and a club legend is a convicted drink driver. This makes the spitting incident appear relatively mild.

| This guy would if he plays to his past form be a real asset. His listed faux pas' are no worse than others in the game past and present. The alleged contract offer is still in the region of £2k per week
Right now, I would like to see our efforts concentrated on the pack.

When you are in the relative safety of your home VPN, google images of "joel monaghan and dog love"
The opposition fans used to "woof" in unison when he got the ball. They stopped after a while and he became one of our best wingers of all time with 145 tries in 145 games in 5 seasons. Deadly finisher especially when the recipient of a cross field kick.
The phantom hotel table crapper (Anthony Gelling) isn't worth researching.

Ha! I'll save you from getting sacked.
Joel Mongahan made a dog lick his bits, which worked out very well for us as he left the NRL straight after. This often led to us singing "who let the dogs out" whenever he scored a try, which was very often, as he was brilliant.
Anthony Gelling once defecated on hotel tables with a teammate. This was long before coming to us. He was only with us for one season in 2020. He also punched his wife while at Warrington after she tried to run him over, so there's also that.
And Lee Briers was the one convicted of drink driving when he was captain.
That's just a brief insight into our proud history.

Going way back didn't Phil Ford evade arrest from the police by hiding in his attic? Or was that urban myth? Or was it Alan "Action" Rathbone (RIP) ?
