Saints have missed a trick here. They were after king so clearly wanted a centre. So glad he's not gone there though, would break my heart seeing him in a saints shirt.

well, its a great signing for cas then, if it is all done.
lets be honest though... Centre isn't a position we need to invest into, with a big contract on an overseas quota spot.
King and Wrench are the future in the centre spots.
i still would love mamo to re-sign, but books needs balancing.

Mamo is a great opportunist, his defence is one to question more than not, Wrench however, has got world class written all over him.
No point in giving Mamo a 3 year deal, when Wrench is ready, or with just another year of grooming, he most definitely will be first choice.

To be honest to ght is the first time I have seen the potential with wrench. Its definitely there though, he needs game time to carry on developing.

Was about to say, I’ve not seen much mention of Wrench’s performance. I can see why he got the starting centre spot early in the season now. Some real magic in there. If it wasn’t for the Mamo intercepts he’d have got the MOM in my opinion.

Mamo was surprisingly pretty decent defensively last night. When he closed down Farrell in the second half with that tackle he looked the finished article. Hopefully he can do that every week now.

With the Duckie here. He's having a good season, but a few people getting carried away with Mamo here, probably on the basis he's a personality.
Unless Matautia is an unmitigated disaster, I don't honestly think we'll notice he's gone to be honest, except for the amusing after match interviews. |
