There does seem to be a little bit of questioning around his attitude. I hope it’s just a case of immaturity and he grows up a bit and focusses on his game. He certainly seems to have the raw talent. Reminds me a bit of Paul Cooke… loads of raw talent that went to waste and never realised his potential.

You’re right, I was just making a sweeping statement putting two and two together after the earlier COVID breach and the York coach’s veiled statement.

If that was way off the mark and someone knows better then I apologise, and I’m glad it’s not the case. Hopefully he’ll get a run out here fairly soon.

Looking at the Whitehaven v Dewsbury highlights, two of Dewsbury's three tries came from long balls from Riley Dean to his right wingman. That's not a bad start as he came off the bench and will not have developed any sort of understanding with the rest of the players yet.

Any game time for Riley Dean would be good for him, as with Widdop nearing fitness, he's fourth choice HB with the Wire.
