| There’s absolutely no way on Mother Earth that Paul Cullen or Shaun Wane would have lost that first game at home with fans after over a year.
That’s about it really.

| I’ll call it now....defeat to Castleford will be Steve Price’s last SL game as a coach.
Castleford have a habit of costing coaches their jobs.

| If these signings of Matautia, Holmes and Trueman are announced soon, and they have a dip in form, Mr Powell may find himself on gardening leave himself.
I wouldn’t want to going to Wheldon road after walking out, raiding the place and losing to your future employers in the cup!

| Didn't England rugby union used to have a move called Wires or Warrington where they ran angles and ended up creating space for a centre? Think is was a Briers/Gleeson move.
Imagine what a "Wires" move would be called if they looked at the current set up. Perhaps 5 drives and a ing massive bomb in the hope that someone drops it.....but at any one time only have 1 player chasing

You're spot on, I can't think of any other coach from the last 5 years who would get nilled in the first 40 either

| Inglis himself said he needs at least 2 months to get back in swing. Don't write him off yet....

Briers to the right side. Stuart Lancaster I think who wanted to copy it?

That's true, but on reflection is it worth sacrificing team performances in the first two-thirds of the season in order to benefit in the last third. Inglis is and always will be a legend, I'm just not sure it will pay off for us when he's here for one year only, He's showed glimpses of class and not done anything wrong personally, but is shoehorning him in causing too much disruption?

| Where's this idea that we are shoehorning Greg Inglis into the side coming from?
He was brought into replace Gelling. All that has happened is that his understudy Mamo had a few games and is now , bizarrely, seen as irreplaceable.
If people are seriously suggesting that Mamo should get in the centres ahead of Inglis, then they need their heads examining - Imagine describing that scenario to Aussie RL fan ... It's like signing Messi and playing Emile Heskey ahead of him!!

| Sorry don't agree with your assessment.
Here's another way of looking at it, get a neutral observer without any knowledge of reputations to assess each player's contribution thus far....you are not dropping Mamo and it's certainly not "bizarre".

You don't fetch in Greg Inglis &, despite his injury situation, start 'shoehorning' him into the side. If anyone has to be shoehorned then it's Mamo.
I like Mamo. He's a good player to have in your squad, but, if he's a first choice centre, then we aren't getting anywhere close to any trophies this season.
You play your best players in their best positions. Inglis, even at 50% of what he was, will be our best centre - Play him there.

| For all his detractors, Gelling was one of our better players last season.

I really think he is a distraction at the moment. The ball never flows whenever he is involved. I saw it first week and though it has improved he's not helping the team performance. Sorry ...cos we'd all love him to be a real success.
