I quite fancied Toulouse but on balance and overall I'm quite happy with the choice of Leigh as they are the safest 'bet' particularly in these uncertain times. I think that they have made the best preparation as far as squad assembly is concerned, decent fans, decent ground, easy trip both ways for Lancashire teams.

I'd have them down as more deserving than Bradford not sure about a comparative to Featherstone

I think it's a sensible choice really. Toulouse and Featherstone would have been decent shouts but leigh have the best chance of being competitive and more importantly of completing the season.

One of the three pigeons was living at a different address to the other two, hence it's absence.

I think Toulouse would be a more manageable route for expansion; into Southern France rather than across the Atlantic. It also creates a derby game down there which can only improve the atmosphere at those games. There’s also a selfish reason as my wife has relatives living over there we could stay with.

But, during a pandemic when crowds are down/gone isn’t the right time for a traveling team. Leigh are more than welcome for me.

I would go as far as 16+ bradford london Toulouse and fev with the possibility to increase to 18 when newcastle and york are ready. League still to be completed within regular game time. Force sides to rotate and give the younger players a game or two they would not have otherwise got possibly throwing up a few surprise results. I would like to see the championship and super league morphed into an nfl type structure as the end game to expansion.

We have 3 years to come up with a way if strengthening our hand when renegotiating a tv deal 16 sides a french derby bottom side relegated and top of champ promoted with a million pound play game between 15th in super league and 2nd in the championship. We would have an argument for a bit more money as more games could be televised as there would be midweek games.

How can we expand when we restrict the league to 12 teams ?? The whole talent pool argument is just lazy argument imo.
