| Whenever we make a big signing we get the inevitable jibes about the salary cap. Fans of other clubs seem to be oblivious to players leaving. We will have 2 huge earners in Currie and BMM coming off the cap At the end of the season. No doubt they will both have been on peanuts once they're leaving!

| Quote: Saddened! "We won't mention the salary cap. Whilst Leeds are canvassing other clubs to support reducing it to £1.8m, Warrington and Saints are handing out deals up to the current limit so they can pull a Wigan and go "Oh dear, we appear to have existing contracts way over the £1.8m, however did that happen Gary? We're sorry mate".
But has there ever been a more expensively assembled squad in Super League? Widdop, Austin AND Inglis on the same salary cap? Plus Ratchford, Clark, Hill etc... Madness, but great news for Super League in general. I suspect you might do okay next year if he's anyway near motivated and fit.'"
Everyone outside Wire knows we don’t have a salary cap...have a tissue.

Is our kit for 2021 going to be baggy trousers and dirty shirt combo?

| I don’t actually give two hoots now you’re affording him, it’s a fantastic signing for you and SL. Especially at a time when inexplicably some clubs want to drive the sport backwards, up come Warrington to at least try and drive it forwards. Fair play to you, if only the RFL/SL had the vision and marketing nouse you have we would be in a much better situation as a sport.

| Perhaps they will play him in Luther's shirt with all his trappings of former RU player pay dispensations.

Have a tissue? I'm not complaining about the signing, it's great news for the sport and I can't wait to watch him play next year, just hope we're back to crowds being allowed by then.
Saints are close to announcing a big signing of our own, although not on the magnitude of this one it would have been a decent sized fish before Warrington threw a nuclear bomb in Ackers Pit and landed a whale.

| Didn't see this one coming, judging by lack of rumours neither did most, perhaps if he has been out for 12 months and put some pud on he could be our go forward ball handling prop everyone wants.

to be honest, whatever his wages are, it could be a good negotiating tactic for currie, and anyone else, how much do you want to play with greg inglis? enough to drop a few grand off your wage request?

| You can't fault Wire's management or the willingness to back it up financially by the incredibly supportive duo of Simon and Stuart. Trending No 3 on Twitter this afternoon according to Gareth Walker of The Mirror, not something RL achieves often.

| Astronomical signing that, commercially as well.
Biggest name ever to play in SL? I think so.
Cant wait to see him pull on the P&B.

| Centres - Inglis, King, Gelling, Brand.
Hmmm. (Do we keep all, move King to SR, or end Gellings' time with us?)
Inglis is a brilliant signing, but we do need at least one decent prop - preferably two.
Hill and Cooper need re-inforcements. They are both coming to the end of their careers.
Philbin is good, but we do look semi-naked up front.
The pack wins the match, the backs decide by how much.
Inglis signing is up there with Langer, Davies and Joey and dare I say it - bigger than Moz

| Great PR coup, but I worry that a 33 yrs old crock will stunt a younger player's opportunity.
I hope he's fabulous, and it all works out, but it's not without its issues.
